Added:

- Switched any usages of time functions to use a more stable and consistent timing mechanism.
- Fixed a bug where streams that are batched properly respect the order in which they were sent.
- Fixed a bug where existing players would slowly slide down hills and desynchronize if you logged in after them and they did not move.
- Reduced the number of not-so-useful logs in the server console.

Fixed:

- Optimized the networking backend by batching multiple very small packets into larger packets.
- Made it so the movement syncing sends more frequent unreliable messages and less frequent reliable messages for optimization reasons.
- Optimized the internal management of stream allocation. Streams are returned to the pool immediately now.
- Reduced the amount of garbage created from creating network recipients and from networking in general.

- Optimized some large portions of the networking backend to reduce CPU usage and garbage creation.
- Added some protection against receiving large volumes of network messages.
- Made it so the networking code does not miss messages if the server is running slow due to the socket buffer filling up.
- Network messages are now handled more gracefully over time instead of pausing the server or client to handle a lot of messages.
- The code that handles synchronizing values across the network now has significantly less overhead every frame on the server.
- Fixed another way a player's default name may end up as "Player".
- Made it so that when you type: "/help [command]", the permission for that command is shown.

- Fixed Known Exploits
- Players can no longer drop items from their own inventory while dead. Loot still drops upon death as normal.
- The stopwatch that measured server time since R8 has been removed. Its replacement will correct bogus data from the hardware while running, so that the game world will no longer jump forward or backward in time.

- Fixed numerous exploits
- Players will no longer unequip their items when they are near a player using the Djembe Drum.
- Characters will no longer be pushed forcefully by characters who spawn, teleport (e.g. due to rubber banding) or transition from a ragdoll.
- Improved collision logic for spawning from your sleeper
- Fix some null reference exceptions in paging
- Tilesets now use convex cube colliders that push player bodies outwards
- Ropes are now more stable
- Sleeping players are now destroyed before the player is created. This may have caused some wierd collisions when logging in.
- Sleeping players have a small no-build zone above them. This is to reduce greifing.
- Players can no longer connect to the ping system so fast that it fails to initialize.
- The server's world timer no longer contains an erroneus mixture of UTC and Unspecified time zones.
- The server will no longer load or save negative world times. The game will continue without saving the world time until it catches up.
- The server will no longer save more than two auto-saves worth of world time. The game will save two auto-saves of world time until it catches up.

This release contains some fixes for new bugs and major changes to our Paging system. Paging has been changed to allow objects to be instantiated over time. This allows more densely populated areas of the map to be loaded in smoother. Previously loading in a dense area could cause large pauses. To allow for this, various systems had to be changed to assure that state changes on incoming objects will not be missed, as this would create desync between clients and the server. Changes were also made to treat empty areas more cleanly, thus reducing the cost of disk I/O and general garbage creation.

Official servers have been wiped, as it's the first Tuesday of the month. We do not believe this update will require a wipe for community servers, but due to major changes on our backend, we'd recommend that they wipe incase there are any irregularities with the save data.

- Removed the steamAuthTimeout from the ServerSettings.cfg because it's no longer used.
- Fixed a bug in the steam authentication that may sometimes cause the server to crash on logout.
- Added a more useful error on the server when the steam authentication fails to initialize.
- Fixed a bug in the steam authentication that could cause the server to reject a player if they login, logout then login again really quickly.
- Improved backend logging performance
- Fixed a bug that prevented a client from connecting to a server that is hosting on a port above 32767.
- Instantiate objects over time to reduce the impact while paging
- Instantiate things in two parts to reduce the chance of breakage due to missed states
- Pool block page cells to lower the impact of block instantiation
- Update previous saved data to the current paging system
- Reduce some of the garbage produced by paging
- Create a system so that block events are delayed so state changes won’t be missed
- Reduce disk I/O by requiring disk reading so often
