Neat!

I've legitimately never been scammed by a game until I bought this one. Followed the creator while they posted pictures and videos showing off the art style and N64-like gameplay. Was immediately interested because of that and bought the game right when it came out. There is NO mechanic in the game other than buying and selling. You might think that's not bad until you play it and realize how unrewarding and uninteresting it all is.

You walk around in a field and simply click to pick up "Junk". You then walk into town and sell said "Junk". Depending on the prices that day, you make more or less money. You then leave and go back into the field to get more junk, then you go back to town and sell it. That's it. Is this review boring to you? You now know what the game is like. Rinse and repeat that process until you eventually uninstall. 1/10 game and that 1 is only for the graphics.

This game is just busywork. Go to one area, read all the text, do 1st grade math, get robbed, go to the next area. Rinse and repeat. I had hoped that there would be.. y'know, something?? At all?? But that really is all there is to Merchant 64. The trailer makes it look like there will be fun character interactions or places to explore. There isn't. It's got good vibes, I guess? Merchant 64 is hardly worth the time and money.
