How to get Steam Key by Desura purchase?

Achievement that is only unlockable if you had the game when it was in early access... Well, that sucks.

Hey there Monsters! players (I think). Out of curiosity today I took a look at the stats and analytics page for the game and was very surprised to see that there were over 12000 downloads of Monsters! in less than a week. I'm curious to know how many of those downloads are legitimate players (or even just the curious). I don't think there is any way for me to know.
