Great character creation-Amazing world building-Incredibly interactive systems-THE best Roguelike or RPG you could ask for- 10/10

The prose is dense in this one folks but it works wonderfully! Take fate into your hands, write your own chapter in this sentience stained world. One of the best games i have ever played. How can I summarize the incredible depth, open freedom and complete player agency found in a game that had like 15 years of development and care and thought go into it?

Qud is a game that will stand the test of time. Like Asteroids, Q*bert, Mario, Metal Gear Solid or Final Fantasy VI. Yes, it's that good.

The vibe is chill because of the turn-based nature, but there's so much complexity. But you don't get hit with all the complexity at once, like you do in Dwarf Fortress (another amazing game). This game waits for you to pull back yet another layer and learn its intricacies.

Another reason this game is so good is how unique it is. Which is maybe why it's so hard to summarize. Sure, it's a rogue-like, but there are non-rogue-like modes where you can save progress and not lose everything upon death. Sure, it's procedurally generated, except for the main story parts that are static. There's this ebb and flow within everything in the game, and it's really well done.

It can be daunting, just looking at the screens and trying to parse what's going on at first. But everything feels logically placed once you get to know it, and the amount of thought that has gone into making the player experience the best it can be absolutely surpasses anything coming out of AAA (and lol-AAAA) games today.

I've got 50 hours into the game, and look forward to playing it every chance I get. I know there's a ton of content I've not even experienced yet. Do I recommend this game? Absolutely, whole-heartedly. It's so worth the chance, if you'll give it.
