Anyone else getting this error message when trying to start the game? Any ideas how to fix it?

Okay, so, I have no music, and I have no clue if that's normal or not, since I discovered the game on an abandonware website before it ended on Steam. Was there music?

Every time I start the game it appears to work fine, shows the intro movie and I can get to the main user screen but the second I move the mouse the screen goes black. I am operating on windows 7, amd processor, geforce video card gtx 560. If anyone can help that would be great thanks!...
