Reading some reviews, a few mention pretty unfair difficulty that forces you to play a specific way. Has this been alleviated by mods or patches at all? I'm not exactly a seasoned RTS vet, I've just very casually dabbled in AoE2 a bit, so I'd prefer a fairly laid back experience and be able to experiment with various tactics....
