I play off and on, hit level 32 merc at the time of review.
Pretty underrated, its dungeon crawler styled character control but a tower defense aswell.
Heavy focus on manual intervention and often times just by the skin of your teeth, not to say you wont have towers putting in work, because you definitely will its just you will be directly fighting the waves which can be a turn off for some wanting more tower focused understandably, though you could build for that I supposed if you want but generally you fight side by side with your defenses or are rushing to stop a leak.

Tower placements are relegated to preset context spots, so you cant place them exactly where you want but you can still select and build for towers from that category that you prefer.

If you want to a diablo-lite tower defense you can watch vids on your 2nd monitor/phone while you play then this is pretty good aswell. I hear coop is a bit buggy and broken which is sad.
Grab on sale ofc it can be down often to 2$, its good, its a little special, but its not the best.
Perfect definition of a 7 / 10.
