What’s New?

1️⃣ Shadow Toggle:
You can now turn off shadows in the settings! This option is perfect for lower-end computers, helping to prevent crashes and reduce unnecessary GPU freezes.

2️⃣ “Potato Mode”:
If you’re looking for even more optimization or just want a nostalgic retro vibe, we’ve added Potato Mode! Relive the charm of games from the ‘90s with this feature.

Beyond Optimization:

On some computers, players couldn’t ascend the infinite staircase on Day 2. The loop is now fixed, and you can climb freely!

We’ve patched the hole on the matryoshka doll level. No more falling into the Backrooms!

Очень много багов, игра вылетает, не знаю почему. Когда это пофиксят? Очень хочется пройти до конца, но из-за вылетов игры это нереально, тупо поворачиваешь в другую сторону игра виснет и вылетает, выкинул мусор игра зависла, зашёл в ванную игра зависла. Очень жаль....

Game Not Launching

Is anyone else having issues with the game not launching?? I have been unable to get The Hole to launch. I even purchased and played their previous game It's Just A Prank, and that worked fine! I cannot get their Old Man's Liver game to launch either. I am not sure if it's my computer, or something in the game I can adjust to get it to run! Any advice on how to get it to run would be much appreciated! :)...

Short horror surreal walking simulator with a disturbing story.
The game takes around 45 minutes for a playthrough, and then another 20 minutes if you want to 100% all the achievements.

+ The atmosphere is well done, the small world is well made and I felt as if I was inside of it.
+ I love watching retro cartoons and movies while in games.
+ Several disturbing surreal moments in the last 20 minutes of the game.
+ You can drink beer, find a whoopie cushion, and squeeze it to fart. Always a plus.
+ The game is priced right.

- The game doesn't really do any service to the weight of the serious subject matter at hand.
- Game could be longer, more choices, different directions and outcomes in gameplay.

Great atmosphere but a bit empty and rushed.
Overall 7 / 10

Issue with "Throw out the trash" Task

Where are you supposed to throw the trash out? The only way that you are allowed to go is to the staircase and there's an invisible wall blocking me from being able to go up it. It's probably a glitch or something but I can't progress the game :(

The game has atmosphere, which makes it cool. What kind of atmosphere is it? - Creepy. If you are into such games, you will definitely find this one worth playing. Otherwise, don't torture yourself. This game tries to make you feel uncomfortable in many ways from the graphics to the plot, it's a true horror story. There are hardly any screamers in it, but you get horrified by the people, their actions and their lifestyle. It will be a bit funny and very painful. I stopped laughing at the middle of the game after I realised what was happening.
Also I would like to note the afterword. Thanks to the authors for the message and their job.

I don't think you should put Kazama Kiryu on the fridge and other memey easter eggs in a game like this.

It is an "Okay" horror experience and it handles some very sensitive subjects which in of itself is fine, but it's usually serious take on the subject matter is often interrupted by self-referential easter eggs (the giant png of a beaver being in the peephole comes to mind) and even objectives such as "get that mf" being the objective when you relive the beating and possible murder of a child

Also, if you've played any other PT/Layers of fear clones (which I didn't know this was going to be, rather overtly as well), the twist is very predictable All in le head, you were the bad guy all along

Could have been something amazing, but with something like this you have to either be 100% serious, or not do it at all. Won't be refunding, I can tell it comes from a good place and was made by a lone developer, but I'm not particularly impressed with this one.

"Home Alone?" and "Memory Album" Achievement

Can't seem to figure out where to get the "Home Alone?" achievement. My "Memory Album" is at 2/3, first seems to be unmissable and happens when you approach drawing on the wall with a bed in front of it in one of the hallway events. Second is missable and can be found once you see the kid with the radio at your door, just turn around and the drawing will be on the door. Does anyone know the third drawing or how to get the "Home Alone" achievement? ^-^...
