Guys let's all go to Taiwan apparently it is full of pretty and sweet girls that will comfort us with what we never got from the girls of our country.... True Love!!!

Taiwan Love Story⁵ is a dating simulator with time management gameplay elements, but its main highlight is its rich storytelling that lets you experience different deep romantic stories with 5 cute girls with unique personalities that resemble real people, with whom you can share sweet moments on dates in iconic Taiwanese locations. However, if you also install the DLC with the +18 content, you can enjoy not only sweet moments with these girls, but also some spicy ones with decent animation and full Chinese voice acting.

The story of this title focuses on "David Lee", a psychology student living in Taiwan who is writing his university thesis, which focuses on human relationships, but mostly on first impressions and how people change once they get to know each other better. To conduct his research, David decides to go on dates with 5 different girls, all of whom he met in a frogging experiment conducted by his university professor. David also chooses to date these girls because during this experiment and after a night of drinking while he was half asleep, he kissed one of these girls and he also wants to know who it was because he didn't see her face.
Once the investigation for David's thesis has begun, the player can choose which route to take and which girl to date. Being a "romantic" game, each of the paths is independent or alternative, so you can progress with several at the same time, but you can only reach the end with one.
The story of each of the girls is very different, as they have different personalities, problems, goals and ambitions. There is the aggressive "Gyaru" girl who is looking for a handsome and rich boyfriend, although when you get to know her, she is more of a facade. There is also the story of an office worker who may seem clumsy and cute, but who is totally stressed out and looking for an escape from his suffering. The stories of the other three heroines also deal with deep and realistic themes that are well worth reading.

In terms of gameplay, this title is not very remarkable since it follows the basics of time management. First of all, this game has a time limit, so you have to achieve your goal (investigate who kissed the protagonist, finish the thesis, and completely conquer one or more girls) before the 54 weeks are over.
During this time you can perform different activities such as: work to earn money, which is used to buy items, pay for appointments, buy upgrades, etc. and is done through a mini-game of food delivery. You can also work on the thesis that will increase the intellect of the protagonist and completing a percentage of weekly success greater than 100% will also reward you with money. Another activity would be to go on dates with the girls, which serves to gain affection with them and advance in their story, although some events require you to have a certain level of "statistics with the protagonist, these statistics are: charisma, strength and intelligence. These statistics are increased with the last of the activities that training, where spending action points and money you can gain experience to help you level up that statistic.
Although most of the gameplay is focused on the aspect of optimizing the protagonist's time and money to achieve the objectives with the best efficiency, it is true that this title also has some simple mini-games that you have to play in some activities that add something more active participation on the part of the player, preventing the gameplay from being monotonous in a certain way.

Since the focus of this title is on romance rather than lust, it only has 15 animated sex scenes, which, while they have decent art and Chinese voices, are a bit short in length and the animations are little more than loops.
Each girl has 3 sex scenes, although they are not unlocked at the same pace, since some of them require the protagonist to conquer them more, like the MILF Sarah Wang, and others, like the office worker Amy Lin, arrive earlier.
Within these scenes there aren't really any fetishes other than some NTR, as the scenes feature services like footjobs, thighjobs, blowjobs and vaginal sex, so it's all pretty vanilla.
While there is not much variety in terms of fetishes, there is with the heroines available for sex, as they not only have quite unique personalities, but they are physically quite different, having short, tall, busty, semi-flat, young and milfs. So it's easy to find one that suits your taste (for me Sarah).
The title has a gallery of scenes, but these are only unlocked as you progress through the story and does not include a "cheat" option to unlock them all from the beginning.

Overall, Taiwan Love Story⁵ is a decent game with a story that stands out from other adult titles, although the gameplay is fairly standard and not out of the ordinary, and in terms of sexual content it falls short of having basic scenes.
That said, it's easy to deduce that this game is aimed more at players looking for a more romantic and chill narrative experience, one that you pay attention to rather than ignore to concentrate on the gameplay and sexual content. This is evident when you look at the character construction and the huge effort they put into the backgrounds that represent the places in Taiwan that really make you feel like you are there.
So if you are looking for something vanilla and realistic, where you will be rewarded with erotic scenes, but these are not the primary ones, it is certainly a good purchase for 16 dollars, as there are few titles with a story of these characteristics. However, if you just want to see the 5 heroines on the cover stuffed like turkeys in different positions and in scenes full of fetishes, I recommend you to buy another title like "Summer Clover" which has a similar theme but with more sex or "Half-Demon Shinobi" which came out recently and has a good number of sexual fetishes.
