1.2.0 Update

I'm excited to announce the release of version 1.2.0
Here are the new features and updates:

Important Note: As I mentioned before, I no longer have a VR headset. This update was made without a VR headset, so please report any bugs or issues you encounter on my Discord server.

Increased Max PC Connections: The maximum number of PC connections has been increased from 3 to 4 players!
New PC Character 'Luminar': A new PC character, Luminar, has been added to the game
Recenter Button: A recenter button has been added to the left wrist menu in VR to return to the starting point. (Not sure if it works)
Shield Ammo for VR: Added a new mechanic where the left trigger button can be pressed to shoot. If it hits a PC player, you regain health. Cooldown: 13 seconds. (Not sure if it works)
Changed Countdown Time: The countdown timer has been increased from 5 to 10 seconds.
Balancing for 4 PC Players:
- GunBlade: If Alive PC Player is "4" -> ammo 6:7 (Phase 1: 6, Phase 2: 7).
- SkullShield: Will now block 250 times when there are 4 alive PC players. This adjustment applies only the first time and will not update every time a player dies.
Crate Ornate: If Alive PC Player is "4" -> damage modifier = 2.3 (total damage = 821.1)

Thank you for your continued support and feedback. Now I'll go back to developing my new game 'InHail.' You can follow the progress on my Discord. I might not have time to update Red Ruins further, except for fixing some bugs. Anyway, enjoy the update!

Launch in 2D mode ?

How do we launch this in 2D mode _only_, even having an inactive VR headset connected? "2D" mode is somehow unavailable for me: When I run the game, the "Play Red Ruins" vs. VR dialog has _no_ effect as it always launches SteamVR to run the VR version. Doesn't care if SteamVR is active or not, or my answer to the launch dialog, it just goes to VR mode instead of my requested 2D....

Balance:
VR players can no longer perform melee damage while grabbing the GunBlade. Now, melee damage can only be dealt when the GunBlade is thrown, not when it's being held.

Thank you for playing my game! "Red Ruins: Asymmetric VR vs. PC" is my first Unity game, and while it may not be perfect compared to similar games, I appreciate your support and feedback.

I had to return the VR headset that I borrowed for development, so I won't be able to make major updates or continue VR development for now. However, I'll do my best to fix any bugs or make some small updates that I can.

"Red Ruins: Asymmetric VR vs. PC" is a dead PvP exclusive low poly VR arena FPS game with no players and a lot of what looks like flipped Synty assets. Obviously as a PvP game with no players, it's dead and not worth your time.

This features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and it's clear the developers behind this didn't understand that.

This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good.

Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 14 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away.

Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it?

Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
