The first major update to Grid Ranger is live - version 0.752. Adding:

- Hardcore Mode: toggle this on and off via the title screen options menu. Hardcore mode introduces an extra challenge for seasoned players, and a new color scheme for each level as well.

- Steam Achievements: including a special one for a 1 credit clear! (both in Normal and Hardcore modes)

Next up will be work on an entirely new game mode (Infinite), which should be ready for testing in February.

Starting at 1 PM EST today (Jan 13), the game will be 20% off for the next 2 weeks as well, including the soundtrack.

Hello Rangers,

There is a new game mode to test - HARDCORE. Switch on over to the BETA branch and then toggle it on from the options menu. It features a brand new color palette for each level, increased difficulty and higher possible scores. Let us know what you think in the comments here or in the forums!

Hello all, I've begun work on the first content update for Grid Ranger, which is Hardcore Mode:

A new way to play the game for those that have completed it, or if you are just feeling like even more of a challenge than before!

I anticipate I'll start testing it next month (January 2025).

Fixed a bug that prevented the high score from saving if you beat the game.

Hello all,

Grid Ranger now has support for Intel Macs. Simply switch to the "intel-mac" branch and all your Grid Ranging dreams will become reality.

Also, I'm starting work on Easy and Hardcore modes for the game. Controller support should be added soon as well, though I am not sure it's a viable way to play the game.... we will see!

• Nerfed the boss health a little bit and made it easier to determine progress towards defeating it
  
• Small tweaks to some enemies that no one will ever notice under any circumstances

Hello all,

Just in time for (checks notes)... the day AFTER Next Fest, we'd like to announce the 1 level demo of Grid Ranger, available for all prospective Grid Rangers to try.

We launched it 2 weeks ago, but are just announcing it now. Why? Don't ask. But also, we just made a significant update to it that should improve performance on most machines. You even have a quality setting in the MENU now in case the game doesn't auto-detect the quality for you correctly.

Give it a shot, and let us know how it goes in the forums!
