June Update: New Unit Upgrade System & Balance Changes

Rise to the occasion!

Heya all! We're back for a smaller update for Oath of the Necromancer.
It includes Settings, save data, quality-of-life changes, and Version 1 of the new Unit Upgrade System - to give a taste of what's to come:

A full overhaul of the stats & upgrade system.

The goal is to let you play how you want. Have every single possible unit in your army? Or invest everything into the Skeleton Troll? The update already goes in that direction, until the full overhaul hits live for the next patch.

In the meantime, we rebalanced the game to a more challenging degree. We hope it raises decision-making, learning the map, and intense, nerve-racking moments!

We added a lot more behind-the-scenes stuff, that we can't wait to show off in the future :)

1. Too hard for mid-late game, summon ability doesnt have targets to transform, all enemies are beefy elites. 2. When a negative cycle start, your summon die off, then you cant fight alone, lead to no summon to fight back.

Mid-April Patch: Balance & Refinement

Heya all! We're back with a big update. We listened to your feedback and are here to deliver!
The update focuses on making the game more fun, allow for more variety in gameplay, and a reworked final boss!
With the latest balance patch, we expect the famous 8 minute enemy rush to be a tad bit less difficult (Apologies for that!).

What's next?

We are planning to add more relics, more interesting upgrades, and more playable heroes!
And that's where we want to include you, too! Let us know what fantasy you want to explore in this game. We are always discussing decisions and choices on the Discord, and here on the forums. Voice your opinion and be heard! :)

Demo Launch!

Hello all! First up, thank you all for checking out & playing the game. We've spent a good amount of time on the game as is, and we still have big plans for the future.

But none of that matters if you don't enjoy it! With that said, we want your feedback! Is the game balance off, did you find a weird interaction that shouldn't have happened, ... or do you have some fun or good ideas?? We want to hear all of them!

We already deployed a hotfix day 1 for the game balance based on your initial feedback!

All that feedback, but where to put it?

When you reach the maximum number of relics you can hold and attempt to pick up another one you're stuck on that screen and unable to continue. P.S Game is fun keep up the good work

Going over 8min is very hard, the only way I did it by using shared HP regen, the item that grand te army levels, high HP for minions and a lot of additional summon to keep the army high in number. After that it fully snowballed as the army was unkillable and I keept getting item for self regen or minions self heal. Sadly couldn't finish this run because when you get the max items, and them open a chest, you get stuck on the page, unable to leave, theres should be an option to delete relics or skip the re...

Hellfire - Friendly Fire bug?

Hellfire text states that melee summons do 20 damage to nearby foes, yet it appears to affect friendly summons as well. I took it with an army of 90+ summons and within seconds was down to around 20 summons and struggled to keep them alive.

Saw the game because it looked interesting, Booted it up to be greeted by a menu that is now fully shown. Still excited about this game. I have a 49" Odyssey G9 G95C
