This is one of my favorite games of all time, from one of my favorite franchises. I still have my original CC1 CD, but I haven't been able to play it in decades due to its 16bit installer. Having this finally ported to steam is a godsend, and the game still holds up.

It's not completely bug free though. If you're seeing sudden crashes with no error messages in certain maps, it may be caused by click-dragging the fire or move markers on the map. If you can train yourself out of click-dragging and instead just issue a new fire or move order, you should be able to avoid the crashes.

Is it worth the $6 to play this classic? Yes, many times so.
