The way it is, it seems like a half measure to me. Also vexing since making the best use of your space is one of the most appealing aspects of Tetris. Kind of a missed opportunity tbh.

when is it coming out?

I feel like one feature which could help this game a lot is a block preview. When the game's speed picks up and pieces start to pile up, you have very limited time to react. It would help to plan in advance if we would know what comes next.
