the most immersive fps series to ever exist, you just can't get better than the metro series when it comes to immersion and graphics. If u want a game that makes you feel like you are in a post apocalyptic world then look no further. the voice acting from all the characters are just superb even down to the npcs who have small but well written dialogues that just makes the world feel alive.

the stealth in this game is also amazing and the little details is what makes metro a must play for everyone.for me it is an easy 9/10 game and worth every minute of its 12 hr campaign

The metro tunnels are so dark and haunting, yet it manages to truly feel like a safe haven compared to the surface.

When Metro 2033 first released in 2010 I was obsessed to the point where I became an early admin on the burgeonging Metro wiki. I played this thing back to back three or four times in short succession in order to fill out the wiki, with more playthroughs following. Revisiting the game now however, my perspective is quite negative and I wouldn't recommend Metro 2033 to anyone.

No FOV slider? Check! Horribly sluggish, slow movement? Check! Obtuse gunplay with weird misses? Check! Quick time events with no feedback? Check! Scripted animations with lots of hangtime? Check! Lots of walking and talking, slooooowly? Check! Unskipable cutscenes? Check!

Considering how much 4A Games have altered and updated the game from its original 2010 release, it's interesting to see how miserable of an experience Metro 2033 currently is. You'd think there would be some concessions towards some more playable gameplay. In short, if you love unpleasant moment-to-moment gameplay, and turgid dialogue with lofty undertones, Metro 2033 is the game for you.

first impressions of this game was horrible. no login bonus, no item shop and not even a loadout menu. all i was greeted with was a boring pov interface with the menu buttons. there was no hint system so i had to look up a guide on how to navigate the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ menu. no ranked games, so i have to deal with sweats in casual but the only gamemode i found was "campaign", whatever that is. no capture the flag, no deathmatch, not even a battle royale, like wtf is even the point in playing this game. graphics were really bad and i couldnt find the options for enabling ray tracing and dlss, so i had to play the game at ♥♥♥♥ quality. there was no way to select characters so i had to spawn as artyom, even tho i had nothing unlocked on him. i couldnt even find a guide on what skills to equip, only what guns to run. there was no vaulting, sprinting was slow and there wasnt even an option to slide, like how tf do people even play ♥♥♥♥ like this????
