I was immediately drawn to "Customized Girlfriend (定制女友)" when I saw it on Steam, as the concept is something I have never seen done in an FMV game before.

Having completed the game with 100% achievements and all paths unlocked, I feel confident in providing an in-depth review that will hopefully answer any questions you may have.

You play as Wang Hao, whose business failure has left him in debt to Niuma Loan. The game begins with an interview where you are asked strange questions, followed by a doctor telling you to wait for a call. Later, a large package containing a robotic woman arrives at your front door. The text message accompanying the package reads, "Congratulations on being selected for the trial experience of the Muse-9 model robot." The game follows Wang Hao as he tries to pay off his debt while also managing the expenses required to keep the robot charged. The story is exceptionally well written and fully engaging.

Xiao Xi is waifu

Xiao Xi: is the robotic companion, She is designed to be the perfect partner, with a caring and supportive demeanour. Xiao Xi's innocence and genuine concern for Wang Hao's well-being make her an endearing character who quickly becomes indispensable in his life. Despite being a robot, Xiao Xi's interactions are warm and heartfelt, making her feel almost human. What sets Xiao Xi apart is her ability to adapt and learn from her interactions. She is equipped with advanced AI that allows her to understand and respond to Wang Hao's needs and emotions. This adaptability makes her not just a helper but a true companion. Xiao Xi's journey throughout the game is about more than just assisting Wang Hao; it's about forming a deep, emotional bond with him while also discovering who she is as an individual. Her character development is subtle yet profound, as she learns what it means to be a part of Wang Hao's life. Her efforts to alleviate his burdens, whether by helping with debts, offering a shoulder to cry on, or simply being a presence that brings comfort, highlight the depth of her programming and her capacity for empathy.

Fei Fei: is a stunning Chinese idol with a deep emotional connection to Wang Hao. As a successful singer, she enjoys her fame and loves her fans, but the pressures of her career have begun to weigh on her. Fei Fei confides in Wang Hao about her doubts and struggles, questioning whether the life of an idol is truly what she wants. Throughout the game, you help Fei Fei navigate her personal challenges and support her in making life-altering decisions. Her character arc is compelling, as it explores themes of self-discovery and the pursuit of genuine happiness. Her vulnerability and strength make her a relatable and multifaceted character.

The acting in this game is top-notch. Every character, including the robot, feels real and authentic. The actors and actresses fully commit to their roles, delivering performances with utmost professionalism.

The English translation is clear and quite impressive, ensuring the story is easy to follow. However, there are occasional spelling errors, and some phone texts lack English translations. Despite this, context clues and Wang Hao's reactions help maintain the narrative's clarity.

Despite its short duration—around two hours to complete, with an additional hour to achieve 100%—I thoroughly enjoyed this game. It is very affordable, making it a worthwhile purchase. The developers clearly poured a lot of love and effort into this project, and their efforts have definitely not gone unnoticed.

All I can say is WOW. As an avid FMV game player and a die-hard completionist, I want to thank your team and the cast. This is currently my favorite FMV game, and I really hope you make more games like this in the future. You are a gem in the sea of FMV games, and I cannot wait to see what you do next.

I've started a collection of FMV games, many romantic games... This was started sorta typical, but the nature of the robo-relationship added a unique flavor to the story (and some humor).
But in the latter parts of the game, my playthrough took some turns I really wasn't expecting. - kinda blew my mind. I was staring at my screen with my mouth gaped.

So, the game gets a recommendation for creativity and surprising me!

There are also a few neat gameplay moments that go beyond just clicking dialogue options.

For the negatives:
- English translation isn't perfect, but "it do".
(And there's no indication of how to change the language until you select the correct menu: the second from the bottom)

- There are a lot of instant loss selections. (Luckily, it's easy/quick to return to where you were)
- Minimal extra content
- Very short
- No way to be with both girls? (This is a running thing for FMV dating and adult games: punishing players for attempting polyamory...)
