I changed the playing drops to each 90 minutes from the original 60 minutes(still capped at 2 a day).

I also did some weapon damage balancing changes.



The next update should be an actual content update, but until then hopefully, you enjoy being able to customize your little shrimp.

I added a few more item drops into the game!

There are now drops that can be gained from just playing the game, it'll drop you one texture item per 60 minutes up to 2 times a day.

I added other drops in the last update, which are no longer locked to the beta branch.

The new texture items look a little wild in-game, but we shall just say they are supposed to be animated. 👍

You will now be able to get 2 item drops per day, assuming the code functions properly you should get a drop ~8 minutes into a run (as long as you have a minimum of 60 minutes of total playtime in Shrimp.io).

Drops are random.
The Drop-rates are as follows:

• 80% - for a shrimp skin (split to 99% common rarity skin, and 1% rare rarity skin)
  
• 19% - for a unique rarity hat
  
• 1% - for a rare rarity hat.

I've listed 1 of each item (other than the rare ones) and set some prices for the items $0.25 for Common Skins, and $1 for Unique Hats, but the community market will ultimately decide the prices.

There is an "inventory" button on the main menu, where you can select which one of the skins and hats you want equipped for your next runs (if you have any items).

Another little update :D
*edit as of a couple hours later I put out a patch(v0.12.39) to this update, I think I fixed the saving for everyone that it wasn't working for. if not let me know in the comments.

🦐 Changes this patch:
- Added more debug stuff to try to fix saving and loading for those which it does not work.
- Fixed the ability to pause while leveling up, causing you to unpause the level-up screen.
- Gave the starter weapon(Antenna) a longer and taller hitbox.
- Sped up the base speed for the shrimp.
- Upped speed of Random Plastic Piece weapon.
- Upped movement speed meta upgrade from 5% per level --> 8%

🛠 Known issues that haven't been fixed:
- some swarms in the Swamp Map are broken.
- Saving is still broken for some people.

In this update, I fixed some errors with saving and loading(ideally this will solve the issue of the game not saving for some people), fixed a few other errors, as well as some mobile-only fixes.

In this update, I added the Shrimpulus Check, made some adjustments to help the balance of the game, and fixed some errors that could cause crashes.


🦐 Changes this patch:
- Fixed 5 errors with the Death of Enemies
- Fixed 2 errors with microplastic pick-ups
- Added a random addition to damages for all weapons.
- Lowered cost of shop upgrades
- Big Oil-funded Shrimpulus Checks
- Added stuff to prevent save-overwriting in case of a faulty save file load.
- Made the Shrimp 8% faster.
- Kelp objects fade out more when the shrimp is behind them.

In this update, I fixed a few things and added some auto-error reporting to help me with debugging issues.


🦐 Changes this patch:
- Fixed whip and Shrimp-a-rang not functioning the same across framerates
- Fixed non-existent enemies that can still hurt the shrimp.
- Fixed the game not ending at 15 minutes (as initially intended)
- Optimized some menu code.
- Added auto Error reporting, to help figure out issues causing the game to not function properly, and find the cause of game crashes.

In this update, I added a couple of new things.


- Maxed out fps a 120
- Added a slight visual wiggle to the fish.
- Added a movement animation to the shrimp.
- Added a health bar below the mini-bosses.
- Swarms no longer swap directions after passing the shrimp.
- Optimized some code.
- Lowered health of non-boss variants of mini-bosses by 66%
- Removed red outline from non-boss variants of mini-bosses.
- Adjusted health of most enemies, game should be easier now.

In this update, I added a couple of new things.

I did some optimizations to some of the code and added critical hits to weapon damage, crits show up in yellow text. I fixed the collisions for the Random Piece of Plastic weapon and extended the hit-stop duration.
