Reviewing (mostly) every game (or DLC) in my library, part 20:

Most underrated and overrhated Arkham game, hands down.

Arkham Origins might not reinvent the formula, but it refines it in some incredibly satisfying ways. Set in a snow-drenched, noir Gotham on Christmas Eve, this is Batman raw and unpolished—angry, brutal, still figuring out how to be The Batman. It’s not just about beating criminals to a pulp (though that’s very fun). It’s about detective work, tension, and slowly building trust with a certain mustached cop. It’s colder, moodier, and maybe a little messier than the other Arkham titles—but that’s what makes it great. Batman isn’t polished yet. And neither is Gotham.

🦇 Pros:

• Gorgeous, gritty Gotham drenched in snow and shadows
  
  
• The crime scene investigations are surprisingly immersive—rewinding, reconstructing, deducing
  
  
• Classic Arkham combat: smooth, punchy, and responsive
  
  
• Great boss fights (Deathstroke, hello?)
  
  
• Loved seeing the early relationship between Batman and Gordon develop
  
  
• Voice acting holds up well—even if it’s not Conroy and Hamill
  
  
• Graphics still look solid, especially the lighting and atmosphere

❓ Cons:

• Visually a bit dated in places (textures and faces mostly)
  
  
• Plot is a bit boilerplate: assassins, Joker, chaos. You’ve seen it before.
  
  
• 100% achievements are brutal —grindy collectibles and online trophies. The Riddler remains one of the most annoying characters ever created.
  
  
• If you’re not into detective work, some sequences might feel slow or clunky

It was fine, just fine that's it. If u really want more batman its a good game but if u want a batman as good as the trio well... it will disappoint you.
