I am trying to groom my horse to bring cleanliness up but it's not working am i doing something wrong?

Any one else have a problem with giving riding lessons? I've tries uninstall and reinstalling but it doesn't work. I click on the student, then train, but instead of going to the lesson, it just skips it and the pop up about the lesson comes up. Then I don't get any money for the lesson....
