I'm pretty addicted to Idle Fishing. It actually keeps you fairly busy with things to do while it's open. Catching fish, clicking seagulls, crew hiring, fishing contests, seasonal events, pets. You unlock different locations and there are about a thousand achievements. Game does have a real money shop to accelerate progress but at the 8 hour mark I haven't seen a need to use it yet. You get to ascend and start over with huge upgrades early and often compared to some other games of this type I've played. Maybe it slows down more later on. The downside like so many games of this type, is that eventually you're just doing mostly the same thing with bigger and bigger numbers but I'm not tired of that yet.

Rebirth mechanic ruins the game same with every other idle game that does it, requires more time investment to get anywhere which voids the point of an idle game.
