We’ve been reading player feedback; apparently, some users see The Backrooms Regret as only 0B in size, and when they download it, there’s nothing in the game folder. As far as we know, not all players are experiencing this issue. We've already contacted Steamworks support to find a solution.

After several months of waiting, we finally bring you a huge update.

Below is the full list of changes, additions, and improvements in this update (V0.1.0.4).

New:

-New options:
HUD: Buttons to show/hide basic elements.
Aspect Ratio: Toggle between 16:9, 16:10, 4:3, Ultrawide, and Super Ultrawide.
Graphic Quality: Predefined selection: Low, Medium, High, and Epic.
Visual Options: Toggle motion blur and blur on/off.
Master Volume: Slider bar.
Mouse or Joystick Sensitivity: Slider bar.
Invert Axes: Checkbox for X or Y Axis.
Cinetosis: Checkbox to reduce camera movement. Checkbox to disable shakes.

-New difficulties when starting the game:
Explorer Mode (Easy): Enemies are slower and less perceptive.
Intruder Mode (Original): The standard experience.

This is Íker Queral speaking, one of the founders of Noirware and the lead developer of The Backrooms Regret. Today, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news: the next update for the Prologue is almost finished. Over the past few months, I’ve been gathering feedback and reviews from our amazing users, and I’ve worked hard to improve and refine every aspect that needed attention or was less well-received. Additionally, I’ve added a decent amount of new content to enhance and perfect the overall experience.

I deeply apologize for the lack of updates, patches, or announcements during this time. As I’m the one handling almost everything, I decided to focus on development and prepare a massive update. I also want to remind you that this is still not my full-time job, so I can’t dedicate as much time to it as I’d like regularly. Without further ado, here’s a list of everything I’ve already developed and what’s still in progress.

After the release of the DEMO almost four months ago, we have been working on improving, fixing, and adding new content to our project.

Finally, our efforts have paid off; today we present you with the list of all the new features that will be included in Part 0. For those who haven't heard: this month we will be releasing Part 0 (a significant update compared to the DEMO) completely free of charge.

Here is the list of everything new that this version will bring (compared to the last update released for the DEMO):

Today, we would like to announce that the DEMO of The Backrooms Regret will be released before the end of 2023. We believe we can have it between January 14. Some content creators may have the opportunity to try it earlier, but we have decided to provide almost a week of margin to address any issues that may arise.

This DEMO will be translated into Spanish (Spain and Latin American) and English.

Soon, we will continue to make announcements like this one. Add The Backrooms Regret to your wishlist and try the DEMO as soon as it is released!
