Compatibility issues ruin the UI on windows 11

Doesn't work properly on modern computers. You have to disable full screen optimisation for it to run without big white boxes popping up all over the screen.
When you finally play a game as soon as there's more than a few bits of fire on the screen the game lags to around 2fps - there is no fix for this as far as I am aware.
Changing resolution settings really messes this game up, for some reason now my mouse will only go half way across the screen, as if it's trapped in a 4:3 box in game. It also randomly lowers you mouse DPI to a crawl until you restart your computer, again, no fix for this.

What a massive shame, I loved this game when I was younger. I don't understand how they managed to mess this remaster up so badly.

Very glad I got this on sale and not for full price.

It's playable but extremely frustrating.
