Tower Factory at the Tiny Teams Fest!

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to announce that Tower Factory will be part of the Tiny Teams Fest, which starts today at 19:00 CEST. It’s a Steam festival featuring games developed by very small teams (between 1 and a few people) and I’m fortunate to participate. They also informed me that there will be a live stream on Twitch[www.twitch.tv] throughout the day and when the event starts, they will be playing 3 games from the festival, including Tower Factory!

I hope you have fun discovering games and, if you haven't already, playing the Tower Factory demo!

On another note, I’m planning a post in the coming days to tell you all about the progress I’ve made on Tower Factory since the demo's release. There are only about 3 months left until the Early Access launch and I can’t wait for you to try all the new content I’ve added (and what’s still to come!).

difficulty of demo level is frustrating

I played the demo for 90 minutes and while I like the basics of the game and its polished quality I really dislike the difficulty of the demo's first level Stony Grove. For a new game, especially a tower defense game, for my personal taste it is very frustrating to loose and loose over and over again in the very fist level (beyond the tutorial). Yes, you always gain coins which you can spend in the meta progression, but basically the game tells you "nope, there is literally no chance you can win this ga...

Hi! Just uploaded a tiny update:

Fixed a bug where you wouldn't receive Golden Coins if you surrendered from the pause menu.
Now you can rotate the camera with Z and X keys too.

Hi everyone!

First of all, I have published the Tower Factory demo, so you can all play it NOW!

Here's what you'll find in the demo:

1 replayable level
5 towers
2 basic resources and 4 advanced resources
7 factory buildings
2 exploration buildings
20 unlockable upgrades
tutorial

From now until the Early Access launch, I will be working on adding much more content, save games, procedural map generation, new levels, UX/UI improvements, and more.

The launch is planned for November, so it will be 6 months of hard work, but I'm sure it will be worth it.

I hope you enjoy the demo! Remember that adding the game to your wishlist helps me a lot. I will also appreciate all the feedback you want to give me, whether through the Steam forum, my Discord channel (https://discord.gg/WMf3U3WqBN), or the form you can access from the main menu when exiting the game.

Overall impressions/feelings after the demo

Just downloaded the demo and tried it out for a bit and here's some of the thoughts it left with me. TL;DR: The core idea is interesting, but right now I wouldn't pay for the full experience. My biggest problem with the demo so far: - The beginning is both "overall stressfull" and "always the same". Making it a turn-off for an "repeat the same stuff over and over again" game. Therefore, the "get starting ressources" upgrade is a big priority, but it also makes it even longer until I can buy "the cool stuf...

why lev1 so hard ?

- the towers need to do way more damage and shoot faster - need pause/construction mode - resources must have more yield. - include 1 or 2 AOE spells (freeze, fire, etc) - beacons must clear more fog - implement universal wasd movement for the map. show more map (zoom out option) as the game is now, it's too frustrating. dev needs to tune it a lot....

can I move/delete my towers pretty please?

Awesome game I love the time pressure and all that, controls are weird but after 2 games you can remember a couple buttons. Building infrastructure in games is always nice but this is like an RTS where you need to build fast and somewhat good in early, I love it. The random levels are awesome it makes you think differently every time. My only complaint is with the towers, please let me delete or at least move them. Most games I just get to 20/20 towers and then discover that the path is extremely long and...
