Temelinde Metaphor: Refantazio oldukça sağlam bir oyun olmasına, büyük parçaların her zaman çok iyi yapmasına rağmen hatalı yaptığı küçük parçalar yüzünden bu parçaları yıkıyor. Dengeleme için birkaç aylık daha geliştirme süreci olsaydı Metaphor: Refantazio tam bir başyapıt olabilirmiş ancak bu haliyle sadece güzel bir oyun.

sad to say but i just want to finish this game... im on the dragon temple and it has just been too grindy and boring of a game, both the story is mid and the combat is either super easy or just annoying and tedious. For example "oh enemy hit me with 4-5 turns in a row and killed me so my setups bad, ok restart game, change archetypes now its easy" ... (I play on normal) . i just dont find the game fun and just hope i get something decent by the end . maybe it will conclude well? its been a frustrating but unfun experience mostly and im sad i paid for the game even at 25% off.. persona 5 was much better and im a huge fantasy genre type of guy :( trotally overhyped and im disappointed because we waited years for this game. Its just rehashed persona but worse

Peakaphor: PeakFanPeakio

This game is quite literally unplayable without an internet connection and if your internet happens to drop briefly while the game is launching it will lock you out from being able to play the game for 24hrs (at least according to their support article, I didn't wait to find out, I got a refund instead).

This is a single-player RPG with optional online components. Having an always-online requirement for DRM is stupid, malicious, and disgustingly anti-consumer. Having third-party DRM on a Steam game when Steam itself is already a DRM platform is the same. No one should ever purchase a game with third-party DRM, especially Denuvo, under any circumstances, for any reason, ever.

I wish I had noticed the warning about Denuvo on the store page, I wouldn't have bought the game if I had. But that's my own fault, it's spelled out on the page, I just didn't look for it.

I'll consider re-purchasing the game when Sega/Atlus decides to remove Denuvo. Until then, I cannot recommend this game, and in fact recommend against purchasing it.

Definitely my GOTY, this game far exceeded all my expectations

Masterpiece

I spent 100 hours immersed in Metaphor: ReFantazio—10 hours with the demo and a solid 90 hours diving deep into the main game—and I can honestly say I loved every minute of it. From the combat mechanics to the narrative, this game kept me on the edge of my seat, and here's why:

First off, the combat system is a standout feature. Fluid, strategic, and incredibly satisfying, it rewards thoughtful decision-making and timing, ensuring each battle feels rewarding. The variety of attacks, abilities, and enemy types kept combat fresh and engaging throughout my playthrough.

The game’s archetype system is equally impressive. The variety of classes and the way each one can evolve and synergize with others gives you countless ways to tailor your playstyle. There was not a single class that I didn’t enjoy and ended up maxing out all 40+ on the main character. The flexibility to mix and match your team’s roles was also fantastic.

I also loved the story and characters. The protagonist is compelling, with personal struggles that felt real and meaningful, while the antagonist is wonderfully complex. The dynamic between the two, along with the political and social tension in the game world, created a rich narrative tapestry that I couldn’t wait to unravel. The plot twists kept me guessing and added layers to the story that I didn’t expect but thoroughly appreciated.

The art style and UI were beautiful and user-friendly. The character designs are memorable, and the world feels rich and alive thanks to the vibrant art direction. The UI is intuitive and never felt cluttered or overwhelming.

The setting and the themes explored in the game—especially the racial divides—were deeply thought-provoking. The game does an excellent job of diving into societal issues, presenting them in a way that feels relevant and timely, but never heavy-handed. It’s clear that a lot of care went into crafting a world that feels lived-in and full of depth.

Character growth is another highlight. Not just the protagonist, but your key party members also experience substantial growth, both in terms of their abilities and their personal arcs. The way each character evolves really made me feel invested in their journeys. The emotional payoffs in the latter parts of the game were incredibly rewarding.

And the plot twists? Wow. Without giving anything away, I can say that Metaphor kept me on my toes. Every time I thought I had things figured out, a new revelation would drop, making me question everything I thought I knew about the story. It was one of the most satisfying narrative experiences I’ve had in recent memory.

That said, there was one aspect of the game that I wasn’t a huge fan of: the calendar system. I’ll admit, I’ve never played Persona, so adjusting to a system where each day is divided into two key tasks (like improving virtues, spending time with followers, or engaging in side activities) took me a while to get used to. There were times when I felt paralyzed by choice, unsure which activities to prioritize. In fact, I almost missed my 100% playthrough because I was so focused on trying to complete every side quest before time ran out. It’s a unique system, but it can be overwhelming at times, especially if you’re aiming for completion.

Despite this, the experience as a whole was nothing short of incredible. Metaphor is a game that pulls you in with its immersive world, engaging combat, and emotionally charged story. If you're a fan of deep RPGs with meaningful character growth and a rich narrative, this is a must-play.
