Windows and Linux staging build has been updated to v0.0.499 with the following changes:

Potion of Water Breathing

Improvements

Enemies now evade all hits and return to their original position if the attacker is out of reach. For enemies in group combat they will select the next target with the highest threat
Developer tooling for identifying respawn bugs
Umber Pass map geometry

Balancing

Earth Root duration is now 10s, with 30s cooldown
Umberhide Brute attacks are now double damage and half as frequent
Dungeon and Gauntlet power scaling for smaller groups/lower leveled players has been reduced
Critical usage of buff items can double their effective duration

Bug fixes

Automatic enemy aggro now picks the nearest enemy in combat range instead of the furthest away
Party invites are now only sent once (instead of twice)
Players no longer re-enter combat if their attack lands after the target has died
Mining animation no longer sticks
Gauntlets can now be entered if you are in a party
Bear animation no longer flicks between running and walking

General Discussion

Patch Notes v0.0.495

19. Feb.

This is the first patch targeting fixes and suggestions made during the previous playtest!

Windows and Linux staging build has been updated to v0.0.495 with the following changes:

Improvements

Esc key closes all open dialog windows.
NPC quest dialogs will now return you to the NPC dialog view after completing a quest.
Tab targetting ignores players.
Better click detection for Wolves, Pond Gunk, Llyn Foulkes, and Chickens.
Significant performance and behavioural improvements to enemy pathfinding

Balancing

Corpses now remain for 120 seconds (instead of 60) in the overworld, in instances they now remain for 10 minutes.
Copper and Tin bar smelting will now give 1 or 2 bars.
Mob aggro is further, and will adjust depending on your level compared to the enemy.
Forest spiders are now aggressive.
Token of Friendship rewards increased where they were previously too low.
Meat for Stone Soup quest chain drop rate increased for 1-3 level humanoids.
Bronze Bar now requires Tin Bar and Copper Bar.
Rock Salt drop rate increased from Copper Nodes.
Barry Trotter now sells Rock Salt.

Bug fixes

Wolves now walk aligned to the terrain.
Player no longer loudly annouces when they are toggling nameplate visibility.
Starter village fountain collision mesh is now correct for the model.
Loot window disappears if corpse despawns or you move out of range.
Ultrawide resolutions will now be usable.
No longer sit/stand whilst standing due to pressing X/Space
NPC quest icon updates correctly when pre-requisite quests are completed
Removed built-in debug commands from public builds
No longer shown "You are already performing that action" error message when picking posies
Visible weapons/shields in hands
Long weapon grip points are now scaling correctly (though some may still be incorrect)
Players can now be clicked on their whole body, not just their feet

Can't Create Character

Unfortunately, due to what appears to be bad UI scaling the button to continue through to create my character is hidden by another game window. Please fix this so I can create my character. I'm running at a resolution of 3440x1440 if that's helpful. https://imgur.com/a/n4iuHCa...
