I tried the demo for the first time and I was thinking "wow this game about choices is really hand hold'y for the tutorial?" until I tried using the mouse on a card screen and unveiled the other choices. Oh. Oopsie. I spent 15 minutes picking only the first choice as the controller doesn't seem able to navigate the cards (and I couldn't tell I had more choices as well) x_x; It's also generally difficult to tell which parts of the screen are currently highlighted with just a faint highlight instead of an i...

Hot Off the Presses!

While the team is hard at work finishing up some expanded content for the full release, we've also taken the time to whip up a new build that everyone can enjoy just in time for Next Fest (live now~)

This new build features a variety of small bug fixes, as well as an updated Settings menu (with new display options) to allow for maximum comfort while rearing mushroom children.

Stay tuned for news about the full release... We've been holding off on officially announcing the release date until things are mostly ready, but I think we're on track for our internal goal at least!

Bug Fixes and UI Adjustments, Oh My!

Have you ever been tending to your daughter, only to notice that something wasn't quite right? Good news! A new build of the Mushroom Musume demo has now been published

Featuring...

Some UI elements have been updated to clarify certain parts of the game design.
Bug fixes (part 1): We located a few places in the code that were causing issues and were able to fix them.
Bug fixes (part 2): The pet bugs have been improved!
A number of typos have been identified and corrected.

Some icons correspond to certain stats... now that stat is highlighted when relevant!

I'm being so serious about these bugs right now

🐛 If you ever run into a (computer) bug while playing, feel free to submit it to our bug report form[forms.gle]! (You can also send us pictures of insects if you want, I guess...)

Demo Test

It's this month's best demo. Immersive, somewhat meaningful choices, unique twists, a character and development system, and sometimes even using the plot hooks it sets up which seems a rarity these days. It has it's own "creepy-cute" humor and art. That said, it's so click-intensive, carpaltunnel-syndrome seems a concern, and UI could be more user-friendly. Could have better intuitive structure, and often-used features should go on the surface, instead of nested into sub-menus. Stats and resources could ...

Can someone explain the outcome of betting your daughter to the Fae?

I bet my daughter for the fae and got two children back. I don't really understand what happened after that. Did the little mushroom girl eat them or take over their brains? I am confused.
