A new update to ASTRA: Knights of Veda will be released on October 2, 2024!

Read below to find out more about what this update will bring to the game.

“Don't order me around! How dare you?”

Misfortune always followed her like a shadow. Fighting back tears in a pile of garbage, the girl vowed to herself that she would bring all those who laughed at her to their knees. Now Bikki has the power to prove it, but she hasn't found a way to redeem herself.

* “Bikki” is a Poison-type Melee DPS with a Large Club, capable of powerful combat through demonization. Her Normal Skill “Poisoned Blow” allows her to move forward and swing the massive club at enemies in front of her, striking them with a quick blow that nearly kills them. Her Signature Skill “Superior Awakening” sucks enemies into a powerful vortex of poison with her massive club, dealing heavy DMG as "Bikki" takes them down in a demonized form that maximizes her fighting abilities.


* New Content: Beast Battlefront
- “Beast Battlefront” is a new end-game “Squad Battle” content where you need to defeat powerful bosses as quickly as possible and obtain rewards based on your ranking.
- You can access “Beast Battlefront” by talking to the NPC Licorice after clearing Chapter 4, Stage 12 of the Adventure Zone.
- Each challenge of the “Beast Battlefront” requires 1 “Guiding Lantern”, of which three is given per day. You can then choose from one of the five difficulty levels with the 5 members of the Knights of Veda party you wish to accompany you.
- You are given 30 minutes to defeat the boss and each party can participate in the battle for up to 2 minutes.
- If the party participating in the battle fails to defeat the boss within 2 minutes, they can continue the battle by forming a new team of the Knights of Veda, while the boss's health and wounds remain as they were at the time of failure.
· Knights of Veda who belonged to a party that were unable to defeat the boss during the 2 minute window cannot be selected to be part of the next party, though they can be selected once again for a retry.
- After defeating the boss, you will receive a reward and a ranking awarded to you based on your clear score and time bonus. This ranking will be recorded in a season ranking leaderboard.
· Additional ranking rewards will be awarded based on your ranking at the end of the season.
- The first Beast Battlefront season will end on 10/9 06:00 AM UTC / 10/8 11:00 PM PDT.

* New Content: Training Grounds
- You can enter the new Training Grounds through the World Map and from the Belle menu after reaching Level 35 and completing the corresponding Ascension Mission for that level.
- You can then choose to enter into Regular or Squad Battles.
- Buttons to adjust stats and resistances, reset skill cooldowns, and others are provided so that you can check the combat power according to various situations.
- You can check the accumulated damage and also the average DPS (Damage per second).

* New Feature: Equipment Presets
- The ‘Equipment Presets’ function allows you to save the Accessories and Relics currently equipped by Knights of Veda into a desired slot and share the saved Relics with other Knights of Veda.
- This is expected to make farming for accessories and relics easier than before.
- This function can be accessed via a newly added icon above the currently equipped Relics.
- Before finalizing your Equipment Preset, you can click the “Compare” button to compare it with the set currently equipped and then choose whether to apply it.
- You can register up to 30 Equipment Presets, which you can assign names to.

* New Event: Distorted Rift
- The “Distorted Rift” event features the same content style as the guild-exclusive “Shattered Dimensional Rift”, allowing all users, including Guild Members, to participate.
- You will be able to access Distorted Rift via the portal at the entrance to Todburg that will appear after you clear Chapter 7, Stage 12 of the Adventure Zone.
- Similar to “Shattered Dimensional Rift”, players will have to defeat waves of powerful enemies, earning rewards based on their performance.
- The “Distorted Rift” event will end after the regular maintenance on 10/31.

* New Event: Apparition’s Rush
- A new event called “Apparition’s Rush” is introduced, tasking you to escort a carriage through a nightmare with the other 4 Knights of Veda in a “Special Supply Delivery Operation”.
- The “Apparition’s Rush” event can be unlocked by completing the “Escort the Carriage” quest that you will receive upon clearing Chapter 5, Stage 4 of the Adventure Zone. You can then access it via the new “Apparition’s Rush” icon at the bottom of the Cloister of the Holy Grail.
- New nightmare boss monsters that are not present in the Special Supply Delivery Operation will be added, and a new set of stronger buffs will also be added.
- The “Apparition’s Rush” event will end after the regular maintenance on 10/31.

* The Support Knight function will now be available in “Ancient Golden City”.
- To help with the perceived difficulty of Ancient Golden City, the Support Knight function will now also be available to use.
- This feature can be accessed via the newly added Support icon before starting Ancient Golden City dungeons.
- You can take advantage of this feature three times a week.

* Better, more colorful Guild Flag customization will be introduced.
- To showcase your Guild’s personality better, you are now able to select different, more vibrant colors for the background and emblem of the Guild Flag.
- Changes to the Guild Flag can be made through the “Change Guild Flag” menu in Guild Management, and new Guilds can confirm this upon setting their Guild Flag.
- The cost for changing the Guild Flag has been adjusted from Rubies x100 to Gold x10,000.
· Rubies used from 9/1 until the regular maintenance on 10/2 will be refunded via in-game mail due to this change.

* A new emoticon will be added to express the gratitude of the "ASTRA: Knights of Veda" director to all the Masters of the Book.

* Simon is giving away more gifts! “Simon's Amazing Gifts!” event is back.
- You can participate in the event at your Guild Territory at 8:00 PM based on server time on Thursdays. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the event period.
- At the designated time, a “Fearsome Treasure Chest” will appear in the Guild Territory
· When the “Fearsome Treasure Chest” is defeated, 30 Treasure Chests will be dropped and one of these can be opened per Guild Member.
- In this “Simon's Amazing Gifts!” event, you can obtain the new mascot "Coco" along with various other rewards.
- The “Simon's Amazing Gifts!” event will conclude after the regular maintenance on 10/31.

* The "Blessing in Adventure" event is back to shower everyone with more rewards!
- During the event period, you can earn double the rewards from Adventure Dungeons up to the daily limit.
- The double rewards event for Adventure Dungeons will run from October 2, 2024 after maintenance until October 16, 2024 11:00 PM PDT / October 17, 2024 6:00 AM UTC.

* Nightmares have never been so bountiful! The "Blessing in Nightmare" event returns.
- During the "Blessing in Nightmare" event, you can receive double rewards from Veda's Nightmare up to the daily limit.
- The "Blessing in Nightmare" event will run from after the maintenance on 10/17 until before the 10/31 maintenance.

* The "Harold's Lost Knowledge" event will reward you for helping Harold with research materials.
- Collect materials Harold requires to write his research log from the Adventure Dungeons and submit them to him in Todburg to receive rewards.
- The "Harold's Lost Knowledge" event will be unlocked progressively, with one log entry opening each day, and you can check your progress in the Research Log.
- The "Harold's Lost Knowledge" event will end after the regular maintenance on 10/31.

* The "Black Mutation" will appear in the Nightmare regions.
- The “Black Mutation” event in the Nightmare Dungeon will feature anomalies occurring in specific Nightmare areas every 3 days during the event period.
- “Black Mutation” will end before the 10/31 maintenance.

* A new season of Portrait of Thierry will be starting.
- After regular maintenance, monsters differing in attributes from those in the previous seasons will appear in the stages of “Portrait of Thierry.”
- The new season of "Portrait of Thierry" will end after the regular maintenance on 10/31.

* A new Tower of Trials season begins
- The completion rates for the "Tower of Trials," which consists of floors 9 through 12, will be reset, and new "Quest Blessings" and "Goddess's Arrangement" will be applied.
- The new Tower of Trials season will end after the maintenance on 10/31.

* The "Journey in Memory (Bikki Trial)" event will be held.
- During this Trial event, you can try out Knights of Veda: 5★ Bikki, 5★ Xanthia, 4★ Emile, and 4★ Rani.
- The "Journey in Memory (Bikki Trial)" event will end after the maintenance on 10/31.

* The Knight of Veda “Bjorn” and the weapon "Battleaxe of Severance" will now be available for summoning in the "Call of the Stars: Fallen Wing of Veda" event following an upcoming improvement.
- However, it will not be included in the “Start the Call of the Stars” and “Knight's First Leap” events.


* The method in which the difficulty level displays has been improved to help differentiate between different difficulty settings in Ancient Golden City.

* The notifications will now be provided when new posts are added to the Guild Forum.

* The critical damage will now be reduced depending on the value of the 'Tenacity' stat.
- When the 'Tenacity' value reaches 5,000, critical damage should be reduced by 50%. As the 'Tenacity' values climb over 5,000, the efficiency of critical damage reduction gradually decreases.

* Adjustment to 5★ Standard Weapons:.
- The weapon skill ‘Bloody Determination’ of ‘A Noble Will’ is adjusted to increase both Attack Power and DEF based on maximum HP.

- The weapon skill ‘Slaughter’ of ‘Unlimited Will to Fight’ has been modified to inflict AoE damage according to the equipped Knights’ attribute when an enemy is killed.

- The weapon skill ‘Winning Streaks’ of ‘The Conqueror's Wings’ has been adjusted to deal AoE damage according to the equipped Knights’ attribute when hitting enemies.

- An additional effect for the ‘Symbol of Curse’ skill ‘Overreaction’ will be added.
　· When hitting a resistant enemy, damage will be increased by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40% / 45% / 50%.
- An additional effect for the ‘Sword of the Red Moon’ skill ‘Fighter’s Child’ will be added.
　· When the maximum of 10 stacks is reached, 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 Veda Energy will be restored instantly, with the ATK increase now lasting for 15s. (When there are 10 stacks, the buff does not disappear even when you are hit.)
- An additional effect for the ‘A Freezing Prospect’ skill ‘Wound Infliction’ will be added.
　· Attacking an enemy with the Bleeding status effect will now increase your Lifesteal Rate by 40% / 50% / 60% / 70% / 80% / 90% / 100%.
- An additional effect for the ‘Holy Sword of Unir’ skill ‘Blessing for Protection’ will be added.
　· When the ‘‘Blessing for Protection’ skill is activated, Reduces Incoming DMG by 5% / 6.7% / 8.4% / 10.1% / 11.8% / 13.5% / 15.2% for 5 seconds.
- The amount of HP restored upon defeating an enemy by ‘The Guillotine of Bachram’ skill ‘Life Absorption’ will be increased by 6.2% / 7.4% / 8.6% / 9.8% / 11% / 12.2% / 13.4%.
- The ‘Unshakeable Faith’ weapon skill for ‘Bud of Grudge’ will be adjusted to now deal AoE damage when equipped.
- An additional effect for the ‘Celestial Globe of Magic’ skill ‘Endless Fury’ will be added.
　· Damage received from resistant enemies will be reduced by 8% / 10% / 12% / 14% / 16% / 18% / 20%.
- The weapon skill “Bloody Cheers“ of “Origin of the Storm” is adjusted to reduce enemies ATK Speed and Stamina upon hitting the enemy while increasing the Knight’s ATK Speed and Stamina.
- The stat increase for ‘The Beginning of Tragedy’s skill ‘Child of Violence’ based on Refinement Lv.
- The stat increase for ‘Salvation of Apecatina’s skill ‘Enchantment’ based on Refinement Lv.

* An issue where Active Resistance would activate earlier than usual after receiving DoT will be fixed.
* An issue where the effect of sharing the damage received from summoned creature 'Roderick,' belonging to Knights of Veda's 'Nec,' does not disappear if Roderick dies while floating in the air will be fixed.
* An issue where Elemental Advantage was applied to only one Elemental DMG type for certain dual-elemental boss monsters (Butcher of the Abyss / Black Prince of Death) will be fixed.

The development team plans to add the “Equipment Preset” feature in preparation for the upcoming update on October 2nd. Before the update, we will briefly introduce the function and explain its purpose.

Before discussing the new “Equipment Preset” function coming to the game however, We would like to tell our Masters of the Book first what the development team is focusing on regarding relics.

Currently, it is trivial to obtain a Legendary-rarity Relic with one or two Additional Stats, However, we believe that it is very challenging to obtain one where the additional stats attached are useful to your current build. Additionally, even if all stats are configured as desired, the difficulty will increase exponentially if you consider the intricacies of the Relic Enhancement mechanic.

While obtaining your desired Relic and Additional Stat combination may bring a significant sense of accomplishment, this is a significant barrier to entry for Masters of the Book who wish to make their Knights stronger regardless of the grade of Knights of Veda.

In addition, we thought that the process of replacing each piece of equipment with optimized equipment settings for each content was inconvenient, and we were also concerned that in this situation if new equipment is added in the future, the burden will be much greater than the fun of farming.

We mostly talked about Relics but the same could be said for Accessories as they share similar characteristics. To resolve this issue, we are introducing the new Equipment Preset feature to the game along with the two changes below.


1. You can now register Preset Relics and Accessories and apply them at once.

By taking advantage of this feature and saving the Relics and Accessories you want to equip as presets, you can now conveniently assign them to the respective Knights much more easily. We wanted to provide Masters of the Book with the freedom of being able to easily switch presets tailored to each Knight of Veda, along with the convenience of quickly replacing equipment that matches the content.


2. You can now equip a single Relic or Accessory multiple times as duplicated.

After the update, multiple Knights of Veda can now equip one Relic or Accessory at the same time.
This was made as if we introduce the Equipment Preset feature without this change, removing and replacing equipment equipped by each Knights of Veda would still be as tedious as before, therefore not allowing us to achieve our goal of making the experience for our Masters of the Book more convenient.

We believe that the core fun of Relics and Accessories is combining various set effects based on random options, so we introduced duplicate equipment to maximize convenience and minimize fatigue from duplicate farming.

This will be especially important for when we release new Knights of Veda in the future, as this would allow us to optimize options to fit various playstyles rather than forcing players to farm for more Relics and accessories.

Allowing this would also make these new Knights and also the current roster of 4★ Knights to be utilized more. In addition, we will be reducing the burden of Relics and Accessories in upcoming content updates, and also allowing you to easily switch equipment for an optimal setup based on the content you want to tackle.

In particular, we plan to provide an environment where you can set up equipment more conveniently through the updated Training Grounds system.


We expect that the Equipment Preset function and duplicate equipment system will be of great help to all Masters of the Book. By lowering the threshold for basic equipment settings, we reduce the burden of initial growth and allow you to tailor the Knights of Veda to suit your preferred play style. We sincerely hope that you will enjoy your journey in Todburg even more.
