A video game with a filthy rich oversexualized busty British woman who shoots the crap out of hundreds of people, exotic animals, mythical creatures, then wrecks there ancient homes, steals their stuff and displays them in a private secret museum that she can barely get into herself.

Clearly a game from anything but 2024, very immoral and from a time where people where not taken as complete idiots and could judge thing by themselves, had patience and did not need handholding either.

I think it's absolutely fantastic 10/10

As a long-time fan of the Tomb Raider series, I was thrilled to dive into the remastered collection of the first three games, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in many ways!

First and foremost, the developers have done an incredible job of preserving the original gameplay that made these titles iconic. The nostalgic charm remains intact, allowing both veterans and newcomers to experience the adventures of Lara Croft as they were meant to be played. The addition of modern features, such as refined controls and boss health bars, enhances the experience without detracting from the classic feel.

One of the standout aspects of this remaster is its performance. It runs beautifully on a variety of devices, and I was particularly impressed by how well it performs on the Steam Deck, effortlessly outputting in stunning 4K at 60 frames per second. The remastered graphics breathe new life into the environments, making them more vibrant and immersive while still allowing players to switch back to the original graphics for that authentic retro experience.

The price-to-play time ratio is fantastic, offering countless hours of exploration and puzzle-solving for a very reasonable cost. It's clear that the focus remains on gameplay, which has aged remarkably well. The sense of adventure and discovery is as captivating now as it was back in the day.

Additionally, I appreciate that the remaster has addressed some of the previous censorship issues at the current version, particularly in Tomb Raider 3: Lost Artifact.

However, it's worth noting that some of the glitches and bugs from the original games have made their way into this remaster. While some of these quirks can be amusing/helpful (hello, corner glitches!), others can be a bit frustrating. Additionally, the inclusion of a questionable "content warning" at the start of the game may raise eyebrows, and the overall experience might be daunting for newer players who are not accustomed to the design sensibilities of older titles.

In conclusion, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered is a love letter to fans of the series, successfully balancing nostalgia with modern enhancements. If you're looking for a trip down memory lane or a chance to experience these classics for the first time, this collection is a must-have.

There's some fun to be had for sure, and it starts of honestly very chill, but the further the game goes on you realise just how often Lara will completely ignore your inputs!

Mostly it's like she has a 30% guaranteed chance to just not do what you're trying to tell her to, and I was able to put up with it by literally saving upon every successful jump, but I got a stage where you have to jump on these fire pillars and she just refused completely to do so at all from the second to the third pillars, like a 95% chance she will just ignore you, I know because I saved just before the jump and tried jumping in different ways, slowly, quickly, at an angle, straight on, with a run up, without, but she just would NOT jump; make the game basically unplayable sometimes!

The biggest obstacle in a game should not be whether or not the character feels like responding to button presses. If you grew up with it, you might have the patience, but some games might be best left in the past.
