I was excited for Plauge Inc because I remember seeing it back in 2012 and spending a lot of hours with my friends in 2008 playing Pandemic 2. Sadly even though Plauge Inc has a little more depth and definitely better visual fidelity the gameplay is not as smooth and feels cheaper overall. Requiring the player to click on popups to get the currency feels like a cheap mobile game, and the news popups now pause the game and must be clicked out of like an annoying advertisement. In Pandemic 2 there was a dedicated news feed that was perfect for tracking events when you want to look that way instead of being interrupted, and the currency was automatically accumulated instead of possibly being missed if the player doesn't react in time. These changes are very counter to the flow of the strategy elements of the game and makes the whole experience annoying instead of interesting.
