I love this game, I suck at it and have basically died in every way imaginable which is amazing considering there's no physical presence to die, but I really like all the messed up creatures and locations. I don't think there's any way to misunderstand what this gameplay is, takes about two minutes to get the hang of. Then you can learn what things are by trial and error rather than a long stupid tutorial that ruins the fun of the game. It's hard in some ways and some things are subtle but if you enjoy not being baby'd and carried through how everything works like me, you'll love it.

This series, though not exactly the most unique game type in the world, has given us an array of really good indie horror titles. But I'll always happily return to the "roots" of spot the difference spooks that is "I'm on Observation Duty".

That said, I feel like the 7th game is a bit of a step down in overall quality. The anomalies RNG is either broken or weirdly skewed towards the very subtle ones, even on normal difficulty. The ability to label certain anomalies as more than one type is good on paper, but leads to a bit of confusion and lack of consistency in the naming.

The game's biggest flaw however, is the way you get rid of certain intruders. If I wanted to solve a f_____g captcha or play random minigames, I'd resort to playing FNAF fangames on gamejolt :P

Overall it is still an okay anomaly spotting game. It's just not the best one. I gave it almost 25h trying to get all achievements, like I do with most of this type of games. I spent easily 50-60% of that time playing "Log Cabin" map. And I have never seen the ski guy intruder. On either difficulty. So yeah..
