i downloaded the demo and it said it was missing an executable. I verified the install and then tried to run using administrator privilege. It started, the menu came up but when I chose new game the screen went black and the hand cursor was still there. I waited several minutes and nothing happened. When I backed out the steam start page said the game was not in progress. I had to close the game window from the bottom of the windows screen. Tried new downloads etc... never worked. beginning of game it says to collect the 8 herbs which i have 8 of them but i will not let me craft the 4th potion. Am trying trying to backtrack but i dont have direction to island i got the herbs on. Is there a bug going on here?

I am at the snow islands where I need to upgrade my balloon to progress, but didn't have the resources needed, so it told me to find chests, I did, but then I spent it on an equipment upgrade, and now I do not have enough for the balloon upgrade. What boggles me is that I did not have the resources needed in the first place, yet I was still allowed to spend them elsewhere, and because I did so I have no way to get more and now stuck. Also seems to be no way to sell potions. That could help in this case....
