I think if 2 boxes are pointing to each other and saying That box isn't a mimic, one must be a mimic and one must be lying. Seems like that would only be the case if they are the same color though, so I'm not sure it really works.

These seem to be getting to 50/50s a lot, though it does seem possible to take a very long time to test every possible situation to solve these puzzles. That just takes far too long. I noticed making assumptions about the middle helps. Also there are some rules like, in a 9*9 if a zero is in the middle on a side, the opposite side must have all 3 mimics. Otherwise I work the corner tiles that have 3 or 0, and once I have a starting point I move one box over at a time. I'm not sure if there is more strategy...

I don't like overmind's guide on this, it has some confusing statements and incorrect information. Here's my amendment, others are welcome to add to this. He needs to update that section of his guide.
