Greetings rulers of Varennes,

First and foremost, we want to sincerely thank you for your unwavering support and passion for Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven. We hope the game continues to bring you joy and fun.

Patch 1.0.2 is live!
Please read the full changelog below:

■ Additional Features
The following features have been added.

Restart Battles
Players will now be able to return to their last save point or return to the title screen while in mid-battle.
Display Obtained Formations
The Emperor appointment screen will now show whether or not the Formation tied to that class has already been obtained.
Battle Menu Shortcut
Players will be able to return to the top of their Tech and Spell menus during battle via a shortcut button. (△ of the PlayStation controller, Y of the Xbox controller)
Adjust Camera Speed
Added another increment level for adjusting camera speed in Settings.

■ Bug Fixes
The following issues have been fixed.

An issue where a debug character would appear during gameplay.
An issue where recruitable characters in the tavern would not experience appropriate attribute gains.
Issues when attempting to buy or sell items at shops.
An issue where Shadow Servant and magic shield spell effects would not stack properly.
An issue where TP would not be distributed properly to retinue members who did not take action during an encounter.
Other minor bug fixes.

I have played some saga games. In emerald saga certain weapons types did certain things netter like stun or armor break. How about the weapons in this game? What are the weapons good at in this game?

Enjoyed my time with this game. The fact that it's core systems are carried over from an SNES game is wild to me. This game was truly ahead of it's time. It's not perfect, but if you're in the mood for a mechanically good RPG with a good job system, pick this one up. The story/characters/dialogue leave something to be desired in my mind, but still a fun game.

Question on 2 handed weapons.

So it says two handed for greatsword and martial arts but I can still equip a 2nd weapon/shield? Do I get lower attack power if I do that? Am I supposed to leave one slot empty or something?

Should you teach "non-casters" spells?

I unlocked a way to teach spells to my characters that did not start with any spells. So is it worth it to make everyone a secondary caster? It just provides more options in combat like you in general should have 2 weapons for every character?

More like SMT or Persona?

I like the combat focused jrpgs like Shin Megami Tensei. Dont like long dialogues and social tasks. So is this a combat focused game or are there plenty of long never ending dialogues?
