It is COMMON for players to pay thousands of dollars and NOT get a specific unit in this game.

It is 2025, put a pity system/safety net in AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DISABLE THE ANNOYING IN-GAME POPUPS TELLING ME TO BUY A $10, $20, $50, $100 PACKAGES! I will NEVER pay for that overpriced nonsense and It makes the game feel really cheap and desperate.

Old game, devs are just milking people for money at this point

Good afk game but I can't be bothered after playing on and off for 9 years. I wish they added this game to steam much earlier, instead of being forced to use BlueStacks and be in fear of technically losing your account. OG gacha game.

good 2nd monitor game. keep your wallet away and dont take it too serious.

Used to play it years ago on my phone with couple friends
tried to get in through steam for the sake of nostalgia yet the game shut it self down the moment Im being asked if i want to download the update(Yes/No), no matter how quick I am or what I choose or if i dont choose at all the game dies on me.
verify and reinstalling did not help.

downloaded this and idled for 6 minutes just to give it a negative review
this game sucked on mobile and it sucks now

Played for 10 years this game.
Completed everything from toa hell (not spire though), g3 siege battle etc.
over all cairos dungeon sub 34s and some around 20/25s on average. (some top 100 timer)
Every hall on average 15s, pic 10s

With that experience in take I can't recommend the game for multiple reason:


TLDR:
being a heavy smoker cost less money than to play Summoner wars seriously. It is just a gambling game.



It takes a lot of time for nothing. Guild content are asking for a huge involvement, especially GvO, I came back to an old guild of mine to do GvO, but because I was working I could only partake in maybe 1 over the last 10 GvO, you are not allowed to have a work to play that game, and on top, if you want to be competitive, you HAVE to pay.

The game is PAY TO WIN, and even if you pay, if you don't pay enough or are lucky enough it is just a waiste of time.
You won't win against someone who is paying, never, ever. If you can afford to vomit money every month maybe the game can be fun on a competitive side, otherwise there are a lot of better games to play.

You can't do RTA without (order with priority) a lot of quads roll speed, lead speed, then LD.
Over 10 years, I have accumulated 3 quad roll speed (not even from the events), and had my first lead speed on my 9th year. I was playing random comps' based on douglass/meihou because when you can't outspeed anyone this mode is dogpoop. (In that regard I didn't play that much RTA.)

The sparks rate are atrociously low, on paper it is 1 spark every 15 summon, in reality it is more around 30 summon for a 4*. I maintained a spreadsheet where I recorded my summoning session to see my rate, and I had to stop because it was depressingly low.
5*LD drop is outrageous, no pity nothing, 3855 days played not a single one, and 4nat LD outside HoH, I have maybe 20 of them at best, even on my last summon I got 4nat LD dub, ridiculous. (you keep dropping HoH anyway)

Rune are so boring to farm, you got a lot a monster and wants to build everything for fun, even 3 star. Yet, it means thousands of energy and a hundred of x30 to only get a decent rune, enough for your mob not being a cupcake.

Pros:
- Fantastic Roster of Characters
- Perfect on Steam Deck

Cons:
- Very Grindy

I can't even get past the intro custscene and I can't skip it either. It just stays on a back screen and doesn't respond...

What a shame...

I've been playing this game off and on for over 8 years. Spent enough cash on this fun but lame game. I love and hate it at the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥ time.. overall 9 / 10
