This game is backed by blockchain/NFT trading and crypto tokens. To evade Valve's outright ban on games like this, the store page hides the NFT core of the game from Steam users... but you'll quickly be told to create a third party account outside of Steam so you can start earning and trading the NFT's baked into every aspect of this game. This is a cryptoscam and should be avoided.

This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.

MagicCraft is one of thousands of nasty mobile apps infesting the "free" section of Steam, but it's not really free.

This is yet another cryptoscam evading Valve's ban on these games by carefully not mentioning the nature of the scam... and when developers have to HIDE the true nature of their game on their store page, wow, yeah, that's a scammer doing their scamming. As with most cryptoscams, this is a half baked mess that didn't get finished because the developers mismanaged the money. I would imagine the poor developers who actually did the real code work for this probably didn't get paid by their cryptobro bosses, either. I feel worse for them than any gamers who got scammed by this.

Yeah, yeah, it looks like a MOBA, but it barely works, there's no players, and the objective is to buy better NFTs so you can win games.

There's only a superficial game here. The game visuals and the game itself are incredibly shallow... think of them as the cabinet dress theme on a poker machine at the casino. That's basically what this is. So really, the mobile app "game" is just a veneer, a thin skin wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app cash shop and cryptocurrency blockchain.

The NFTs in this scam are traded with the MCRT token on the Binance Smart Chain blockchain, but you can trade into that with Etherium or Solana cryptocoins... in case you don't believe me when I tell you this is a disgusting cryptoscam.

Putting that toxic mobile app monetisation aside... this is a mobile app. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could pretend it's an iPhone, and I don't think you did either... this kind of mobile app has no place in your Steam library.

The developers abandoned this 1 year and 3 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games.

Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, they couldn't even break three figures, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it.

Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it?

Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

Valve should ban all crypto scams from Steam, in accordance with their own policy. This kind of scamming is harmful to gamers and the gaming industry.
