were there plans to ever do a third game? did the publisher decline? or were sales a issue? :/ will we ever get a 3rd game? did it end without dlc or other stories?

I'm on Steam Deck and tried multiple methods to get this to simply start a new ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. I've disabled Ckoud Save and deleted the save files where i was told, i deleted all the related files and "checked integrity" and i've even reinstalled it completely with no success. Why is something as basic as starting a new game so damn difficult?...

Does the story gets concluded in this last entry or was it meant to continue in a game that we'll never get?

i've just completed my Prince of Darkness run and even got achiev for 110% completion but I still didn't get the Philanthropist achiev. Stats show that I have 100% of all the artwork. And yes I bought artwork from Chupacabra. Anyone encountered this as well? Or I am the luckiest kid on the block?...
