i don't understand this game. i don't understand why the ratings are so high. Is it because i never played the original FPS version?

Super Sanctum TD is an interesting idea but feels like an unfinished school project. There are almost no instructions (and i didn't play Sanctum so i don't know anything), everything is tiny, the font is unreadably small and it only runs in windowed mode (despite what the settings say there is no full screen mode). The best i can say is that it hurt my eyes so i think the game hates me as much as i hate it.
