is the dlc needed for 100% achievements?

I have gone through the entire house thrice, but cannot seem to find the mannequin leg, after satisfying all the demons.

I am missing pool ball 1. I searched every nook and cranny to no avail. had to watch a playthrough to see where it should have been obtained. The lower cabinets in the parent's room's bookshelf, in the very beginning of the game, are supposed to open to reveal pool ball 1. For me, those doors are locked. I cannot access pool ball 1. Because of this, I cannot finish the silver plate puzzle. I will have to restart. Not happy. :(...
