christ this game is frustrating,

The RNG never feels like its on your side, constantly getting locked to gods that don't synergise with the other stuff your building, no matter how carefully you use your alteration rolls. then getting a list of the same skills you weren't interested in from the god you didn't want multiple times.

I love summoning skills, but oh boy do the ones in this game suck, they are so limp and useless. doing little to no damage, barely synergising with a few other gods, and usually just getting left behind as you wander the map to find stuff.

That slime wave feels massively out of place and is so easy to die to unless you stacked a bunch of AOE damage, feels like its choking build variety by just rushing down anyone without something encompassing them, otherwise ur left dashing and chipping away at it forever, taking unavoidable hits the entire time.

Not a fan of the talent points being locked behind boss kills, means you have to make it to the first boss and kill him for at least one every run. failing that you can have some of the most unrewarding runs ever. can feel like you are making 0 progress.

gear system is cool, some sort of crafting system to fine tune gear would be nice, maybe sockets n gems, but yeah I like the gear, though the game hitches sometimes when picking gear items up.

I got to act two stacking AOE, lots of the characters felts limp and underwhelming, lots of builds felt pretty garbage(mostly cause of slime wave), and in a lot of cases I was forced into them with the god locking system that you are never explicitly told about(the god lock system is fine, might be nice to have ways to break ties with a god/remove a skill in a run though).

Plenty of potential in this game, art work and VA are good stuff, some of the sfx can be lil grating, mostly fine. But theres just way too much rough around the edges that make this really hard to enjoy at the moment.

Raw; needs to cook. Wait to see what the chef brings out unless you really want to taste test all the ingredients.

Act II was over-tuned compared to Act I. Mechanics are difficult to understand and not well explained as to how they stack (additive vs multiplicative vs non-synergistic). Mostly RNG with heavy dependence on equipment for builds. Currently feels like a grind to get through skill tree of each character and get them gear suitable for builds (made worse by rng stats of item drops). Screen gets horribly chaotic and the small indicators you get for enemy attacks are often drowned out in the sea of enemies and your own colorful skills.

I will give it credit for innovative enemy design and appealing sprite-work. It feels like a Diablo 2, Hades, and Vampire Survivors mashup.
