Players can engage in a brief optional fight with this SCP, setting the stage for future expansions where its storyline will be further developed and integrated into a dedicated mission.

Final Act of the Main Storyline: Additionally, version 1.0 includes the last act of the main storyline, featuring an epic battle against SCP-239! This climactic encounter is designed to challenge players and provide a fitting conclusion to the current narrative arc.

After dealing with the Chaos Insurgency in Act 2, the area has become infested with SCP-337! Players must take on the daunting task of defeating these monsters and destroying their spore nests to clear the canyon and restore safety to the region.

We’ve added a feature that automatically sorts items by their usefulness, making inventory management easier and more intuitive.

We’ve fixed the issue where the inventory screen would move unintentionally while dragging items, ensuring a smoother interface interaction.

We've modified a fight to feature SCP-377, which now not only enhances the encounter but also unlocks an additional mission for players to tackle.

This is just the first of many side missions we are planning to introduce. We are already working on more and invite you to join our Discord server where we post the most current progress updates.

We are excited to announce the release of update 0.4 "Strategic Enhancements" for SCP: The Expedition. This update brings two significant changes aimed at improving gameplay and adding depth to combat scenarios.


Following the changes made to the camera work, a performance drop was noted across many locations. However, with the latest fixes in the rendering of the game world, we've managed to increase performance by up to 10% during the most demanding moments! This enhancement ensures a smoother experience across all areas of the game.

We're introducing a variety of Chaos Insurgency agents to make the battles more intriguing. In the current version of the game, you will encounter the following types of enemies:

• Chaos Precision Eliminator
  
• Chaos Suicide Insurgent
  
• Chaos Heavy Enforcer

This diversification is designed to challenge players to adapt their strategies and provides a richer combat experience.

Although the list of changes in this version is brief, we want to inform you that these implemented changes will facilitate the introduction of more enemy types in the future! We've completed the prototyping phase for SCP-337, whose prototype version can be seen in the gif below.

Additionally, we're developing mechanics for other SCPs that players will be able to confront. We're not resting on our laurels and are already excitedly working on a new map and side missions. However, they will require a bit more time before they're ready.

We are excited to announce the release of hotfix 0.3.1, introducing crucial improvements to SCP: The Expedition. Here's what has been addressed:

- Enhanced Mission Loading: We have increased the speed of scene loading. By optimizing the loading process during mission briefings, transitioning into action is now quicker and smoother.

- Fixed Issue with Operation Green Whisper: We've addressed a rare issue where attempting to load a game save that had already started the Operation Green Whisper mission would cause infinite loading. With this fix, the mission should now load seamlessly, allowing all players to fully enjoy the gameplay experience.

We understand that the size of the latest hotfix update 0.3.1 may appear large to some players. We would like to clarify that this is due to our ongoing efforts to improve SCP: The Expedition. Currently, the game files are not fully optimized, which results in a larger update size.

However, we are aware of this issue and are actively working not only on enhancing and developing the game but also on optimizing the source code. Our goal is to make changes to the game's structure so that future updates will not require downloading such large files.

Responding to player feedback, we've increased the movement speed of your agents by 30%. Now, exploration and responses to threats will be even more dynamic and smooth.

Exploration of the game world and combat have gained a new dimension with the introduction of new animations, making unit movements more realistic and dynamic. Additionally, we've revamped the camera work to better adapt to player needs:
- During exploration, the camera now defaults to a position closer to the agents, providing a better view of the surroundings.
- In combat, we added the ability to move the camera using the WASD keys, giving greater control over the battlefield.
- We also improved the smoothness of camera movement during zooming, making every detail of the game world even more visible.
