I'm not going to go too in depth, because I have humans to slay, but this game is just so good.

If you enjoy tactical turn-based games, you'll enjoy playing this game. If you love pixel art, you'll love looking at this game. The music and sound design is also great to listen to. The satisfaction from making the right move is awesome, and the grief of losing one of your favorite orcs is devastating. Unlike a lot of other small indie games, this one has a solid tutorial so you're not just immediately lost in the sauce.

If you want to support the passion project of a solo-dev who's posting updates/small patches almost weekly, support this one. Absolutely untouchable gem for $5; I'm so glad I discovered it.

As a young boy, I cried when I discovered that I sent my entire X-Com squad into battle without proper weapons and equipment. As a man in my early 40's, I find that my feeling is one of overall disappointment when I do the same in Beat The Humans.

At the time of writing, late January 2025, this game is really good for what it is. Turn-based combat that gets real tough real fast. The music is awesome. Highly recommended.
