The music pass is a great deal imo BUT if you don't feel like it, you can still mod the game which adds like 1500 songs so it's all cool. Love the overall polish of the charts compared to the inconsistency some community driven rhythm games provide

A good Taiko game, surprinsingly less greedy on DLC's since there's a monthly subscription with a lot of tracks in it including the dlc's that are being sold.

Not much too say on the game it self it's fun as always, runs well and the PS5 Taiko controller works perfectly on this pc version.

Taiko is one of my favorite music game I play the most. Since it is finally released on PC so it is very good that we can play it using keyboard and high fps. I really recommend to buy the normal version of the game and buy monthly pass. It is cheaper than buying every song or the exclusive version and you can play many songs with a reasonable price. Moreover, I want to talks about few problems about the game now for those who still haven't buy the game. First, the amount of players in this game is still very low. It is like you can get into the ranked Leaderboard with a lowest rank C. That causes you to wait for a long time to match a opponent in ranked mode. In ranked, since the player is significantly not enough. You may only can win a match with 全良 or only 1 or 2 良. Not only that, some players use Marco in PC and I think this game have no anti-cheat system for Marco (not even a report system) that can ban these players. That causes you may still lost even if you 全良 a song. That makes players hard stuck in low ranks and gives you a poor experience.

Overall, I think this game is still good because I really enjoy playing the songs in solo mode. But for ranked or multiplayer room, it only gives me a poor experience due to the lack of players and cheating problem. I hope the player in this game will be increase one day T_T

If you're interested in giving Taiko no Tatsujin a try, or you just want the best Taiko no Tatsujin experience for PC, quit reading reviews and buy it right now (ideally wait for a sale). Supports frame rates and refresh rates above 60, alternate game modes, lots of cosmetics, instruments and toys to unlock, options for 2 - 4 player local and online co-op and doesn't require a drum controller to play. The base game songs feel a little lacking, but there are options to get more.

For those wondering why get this over osu!taiko: They're almost not even comparable. This is a full fledged video game with multiple stories and progression, and the charting in this game is significantly better. Just buy it and see for yourself.
