I just implimented a simple fishing minigame in Skeleton Island. If you are good, you can now earn a lot of xp just with fishing. Will continue to work on the fishing mechanic, so keep all the feedback coming.

I also fixed some of the other bug reports in the discord server. Please keep the feedback coming.

V 1.22 (PATCH) devlog:
-Fixed saving/loading issue.
-Added new FISHING MINIGAME.
-Fixed fishing XP issue.
-other minor improvements and fixes.

V 1.21 devlog:
-Increased degradation/spoilage of some items like snowballs and some basic raw and cooked meats.
-Changed Keybindings - PAUSE is now P by default, and ESCAPE works for closing chests and shop panels.
-Player Chests can now be destroyed by any HAMMER.
-Table can now be disasembled
-Doors and Gates do not have disasemble actions anymore. Use HAMMER to destroy it. (Let me know if this works better)

-Inventory Hotkeys: Press 1-0 on your keyboard to instantly use items in your inventory slots (drink, eat, equip, cook meat, fill jug, etc.)
-Hold to Attack: Simply hold the left mouse button to continuously attack or mine - no more repetitive clicking!

Enhanced Environment

-Improved pond water appearance
-Added a new pond in the snow area
-Fixed ice chest functionality

As the release of the game nears big changes are happening and the latest V1.0.9 update for Surviving Skeleton Island is here, bringing new content, improvements, and important fixes. This update introduces a new swamp biome, additional mini-boss creatures, improved loot, and various quality-of-life enhancements.

Here’s what’s new in this version:

New Content & Features

• New Swamp Area – Explore the treacherous swamps, now home to new and challenging enemies.
  
• Expanded Survival Options – Additional water sources and camp locations have been added to smaller islands to improve resource gathering.
  
• More Mini Bosses – New Diamond Animals have been introduced, offering tougher encounters and rewarding loot.

Fixes & Improvements

• Dungeon 4 (Snow Area) Fixed – Resolved issues preventing proper gameplay in this dungeon.
  
• Harvestable Trees Added – Some small islands now have trees that can be harvested for wood.
  
• Balanced Economy – Adjusted sell values for certain armor and items to improve overall game balance.
  
• Steel Shield Fixed – The shield now functions as intended.
  
• More Readable Items – The “Read” function has been added to additional items, including the Monkey’s Mace.

Improved Loot and Treasure:

• Increased loot in dig spots and graves
  
• Adjusted Gazer Island enemies and their loot drops

Surviving Skeleton Island is now at version 1.03 and ready to launch any day now.

I took tester feedback onboard and added an interactive map so that its a bit easier to find your way around the island, especially finding quest givers, traders, water, dungeons and other points of interest.

I also finally added some steam achievements. All of them are achievable, but some would take a lot of skill and time to reach end game content to achieve them. I am looking forward seeing who can complete the achievements first! Who will it be?

Then I made a bunch of other smaller quality of life additions like settings, and options in the menus and worked on a bunch of bug fixes. They never seem to end!

Look out for a more news in the coming weeks with a launch date if you want to test the beta version of the game before it launches, let me know on Discord.

Surviving Skeleton Island is now in full Beta mode (Version 0.931) and progressing nicely. We have some very dedicated testers who are working their way through this challenging game to do indept bug reports and give us suggestions. We are still taking more testers onboard, so find our discord We are looking at an early access release date before the end of the year.

Currently the game content is completed up to the end game. We are just looking to pollish it a bit and add more interesting things to it. We are taking all feedback of our Beta testers on board to make it as fun as possible for everyone.

Here are some of the latest changes in Version 0.93:

- added Energy meter. normal, combo and special attacks and blocking now consume energy, so makes combat more challenging.

-added combo attack for the player

-adding two 2 special attacks for the player, that does massive damage. Press F or R for special attacks. More energy will be consumed for these.

- improved block mechanic, where you have to hold block to block an attack

- Added bigger variety of drops for the skeletons and goblins

- Added new Goblin camps
