NEW STEAM NEXT FEST DEMO RELEASED!

Hi all,

We’re excited to release a new verision of the UMPB demo for the 2024 Steam Next Fest event!

The new demo has the following improvements / changes:

Improved level 1 design, with new background and weather effects.
Improved level 1 boss design to make it more consistent with the overall look and feel of the game.
New basic attacks for ships / mechs that launches ‘drunken missiles’ as at Attack levels 4 and 5.
New trailing smoke animation for special missiles and drunken missiles.
New in-game player comms that will trigger when playing certain levels.
Improved UI / UX interaction when using KBM.
Improved UI colours when using either KBM or Controller.
Extended level 2 with additional rooms, enemies and pickups.
Removed the timer on health pickups in level 2 that made them disappear, giving the player more time to pick them up.
Various bug fixes.
Various other general improvements.

Importantly, this version of the demo contains the first 2 missions / levels of the game. All 8 missions will be available in the full release, coming Q1 2025.

New demo version that includes level 3

Hi all,

We have some exciting news!

A new version of the Ultra Mega Planet Battles demo is now available to download.

The new version contains the first 3 levels of the game. In level 3, you're controlling your Mech and escaping from the Brute base that was destroyed in level 2.

Also, the new version has a "16-BIT MODE" - toggle between a modern look and a classic 16-bit look. Start the game this way, or change mid-game in the pause menu!

Hi all,

We have some exciting news!

A new version of the Ultra Mega Planet Battles demo is now available to download.

The new version contains the first 2 levels of the game. In level 2, you now control a Mech that has jettisoned from your Raven ship.

Happy New Year and Quick Update

Happy New Year all! We hope that 2024 treats you and your loved ones well.

A quick update. We've been busily working away on the new version of the demo, which includes the 2nd level of the game. We're in the final stages of play testing and should be releasing the new demo soon.

We've also made some small improvements to level 1 that will be included in the new version.

We can't wait to bring Ultra Mega Planet Battles to market in 2024...it will be a huge year for us!

Hi all,

Since launching the original demo, we've been working hard on level 2 of UMPB!

In this level you'll play as a mech warrior that has jettisoned from your ship. Defeat the enemies and avoid traps in each room as you make your way to the enemy base Power Core that you must destroy!

Level 2 will be released in a new version of the free playable demo in the next couple of months.

Player 1 can either play with the KBM or a supported controller, whilst players 2-4 can play with supported controllers.
