Action! 4.39.0 with new features and improvements is now available!

Hi Everyone!

W have just uploaded an update that includes changes from Action! 5.x:

- Major improvements for HDR capturing devices (Avermedia, Elgato/Corsair)
- Added automatic HDR signal detection and tone mapping for Avermedia and Elgato devices
- Fixed auto HDR detection for Steam games in Screen and Game capture modes
- Added color format selection for webcams and capturing devices (RGB, YUY2, NV12, P010 etc.)
- Added HUD in Device Capture mode
- Added browser overlay scaling (50-300% useful for displaying live chat on HUD in 4K)
- New advanced HDR to SDR tone mapper
- New improved SDR/RGB to HDR conversion for graphics/web browser/camera overlays in HDR mode

This release contains a critical fix for auto HDR detection which stopped working after one of the latest Steam platform updates.

Action! 4.38.1 with hotfix for bug in Nvidia drivers is available.

Hi Everyone,

This update addresses a problem with the newest Nvidia drivers. Video resolutions that are aligned (in height) to 32 pixels were not encoded properly.

Additionally you can also try the beta APK of Action! RCU 2.0 app for Android. The link to the download is available in the changelog. The app is now compatible with Android 13 (API 33+).

After beta tests it will be uploaded to the Google Play Store and later updated with a new app that will show real time preview of the recording/stream on mobile devices, offloading preview rendering from the GPU.

Action! 4.37.0 with multiple URL overlays on HUD is now available!

Hi Everyone,

We have finally added the possibility to display all URL overlays (widgets) on HUD. You can now monitor everything your viewers are doing (like becoming a new follower, giving a tip or chatting) without taking your eyes off your game.

Since this version it is also possible to use the CTRL + SHIFT + F default hotkey to make the real-time preview enter full screen mode. Two or more monitors are needed to use this mode.

Action! 4.35.0 with AI-powered webcam face centering is now available!

Hi Everyone,

In version 4.34.0 and 4.35.0 we have added some cool features for your webcams:
- Alpha mask (rectangle, circle and ellipsis) with custom edge blur for a PRO touch
- AI-powered face tracking to make your face always stay in the middle of the alpha mask :)
- On-key webcam show/hide global alpha animation

All these new features are available in the webcam settings window.

Action! 4.32.0 is now available!

Hi Everyone,

We have recently released a new update that includes Enhanced RTMP streaming feature for YouTube. You can now select RTMP or HLS streaming from a dropdown menu for YouTube. The new RTMP also includes HEVC streaming and will soon include AV1 streaming as well. There are also new presets for 85 streaming services like Twitter.

Next month there will be a big update to version 5.x and it will initially include:

Separate applications for recording and streaming (lightweight recording only Action! version will start faster and use less system resources). When you need livestreaming, you will need to use the Action! Streamer app.
There will be two new file output formats (M2TS, MKV).
Webcam recording to separate file will support AVC, HEVC and AV1 formats (with selection of the GPU that will be used for webcam encoding).
Alpha mask for webcam (circle)
Face tracking algorithm for webcam (to make it stay in the center)
Many, many more.

Like the title says we had to upload an urgent hotfix. This happened because Action shares it's core with Overband and Remotly (a change was done in one of these products and this affected Action).

We wish you all the best in 2023. We would also like to thank everyone who has supported Action! development since 2014. We are now working hard on Overband UI which will be done in the same new way as in our cloud gaming product called Remotly (which will soon go out of Beta stage and will be available on Google Play store and later this year also for iOS).

Action! 4.29.0 integrated with CEF v95 is ready!

Hi Everyone,

After 2 years we are switching to one of the latest CEF builds (used for web overlay rendering).

Other changes include:
- Support for high DPI displays (200% and 300% automatic interface scaling depending on monitor DPI)
- Support for virtual/software emulated GPUs

Next week we are releasing v1.0 of our Remotly project. Make sure to check it out!
BTW. By the end of the year we will allow remote access (streaming + control) to any console from PC, Android and Web browser :)
