amazing art style, you feel like you are playing through a museum, can only recommend

Compared to the first game, this one is such a ♥♥♥♥.

First one was a blast. Fast action, interesting locations, overall fun. I have replayed it and got all achievements. Great game. I expected upgrade for the second game, instead I got.. this. Game mechanics and level design not suitable for this kind of game. Not once happened to me that I had no idea what to do, where to go, until I finally noticed some detail. Like.. puzzles in fast shooting game just to break the flow? Flashlight in the game is another anoying and pointless thing. You either see normally or its dark and you just spam "F". I will probably search for a mod to be able to just turn it on or off. Difficulty is another thing - dont remember having much problems in first game, here I'm playing on normal and feels like I'm made of paper. Last thing for now - gun upgrades. For a lot of them it actually feels like downgrade, not an upgrad of a weapon. Overall, not recomending the game. If you like first, stay with first. I have to decide if I will try to finish the game or just leave it for now/ever.

I love the first one, this one is also pretty good, but it doesn't run all that well on my PC. Which isn't the games fault, but I can't play it how its meant to be ran, and turning settings down doesn't help.

so the squeal of forgive me father , i loved it and balance at weapons and abilities
in old game , you have a lot of abilities to focus on but this one is focus on upgrade your ability and passive which is a nice touch and buying weapons to choose from . [basic normal weapons to cultist weapons or love craft]
story is still good and it isn't confusing, journalist isn't cannon on first game i think ?
map design is still well great , i loved it.
enemies design and counter design are still great and some i hated him so much but still challenging.
is it recommend to buy it ?
yes sure ,if you didn't buy first one, buy it when its on sale or buy both on bundle .

Very atmospheric gothic horror shooter with solid gameplay, great guns and banger soundtrack.

The game feels really polished and what it does, it does well. For example, the number of guns is just right and each of them looks cool and has its own characteristics, making it fun to try different loadouts. The levels are set in different locations and come with different challenges and enemy types, without feeling unfair or repetitive. Movement feels natural and the shooter mechanics are on point. The soundtrack is great and adds a lot to the levels and the (boss) fights. I also love the art style: it's dark but beautiful, sometimes humorous. All together make an atmospheric shooter that looks, feels and sounds great.

There are a few small points of critique as well: I would have enjoyed a bit more story. The cut scenes are great, but they provide only a basic outline; the dialogue with the voice in your head contributes more to the general atmosphere than to the story. Gameplay wise, I feel like the Dark Tome didn't realize its full potential. Some of the cards make way more sense than others and once I had a powerful set, making a change didn't feel worth the drawbacks. It would be good to have more than three slots (maybe unlock additional ones as you progress through the game?) as a motivation to try out different cards.
