After 13 years, this game still holds up. And is still being updated, even. Not many games can make you say "It's still as good as I remember it being" after that much time has passed.

Amazing atmosphere, realistic and immersive mechanics, great level design.

It's also free. You can't beat that price tag. Give it a shot.

I'm sure the games fine and all but I wouldn't know, I was never able to get into an actual lobby, I'm not trusting one of the 3 random Chinese servers that have actual players in it and apparently I'm too stupid to figure out how to host a server, never had an issue before with Gmod or other source games but this is not the sort of game you should be playing solo since half of the fun is with others.

IDK, maybe the sequel will be good but pass on this game, it no longer functions in the modern day outside of playing it solo.

Very fun, though it's a bit complicated to use hamachi to boot it up, very good l4d/l4d2 like game. very worth the free

had this game for twenty minutes, immediately proceeded to install a plethora of goofy ass mods and spoil the game of its original purpose. then it crashed yay-many mods and twenty more minutes later
9/10 would blow up my hard drive again
