PGMMV folks are working on an issue causing the controller problems, so that should be fixed up in the coming weeks.

Hey guys, here's a temporary solution to getting the controls working properly. Using big picture mode to manually bind the keys, or using a third party app to port the keyboard controls to your gamepad, you can get working controller support.

I understand how frustrating this issue is, trust me, it's a pain in the ass for me too! My controller works perfect, and I don't really have other devices to test, so I'm just doing what I can to try and fix this.

Pixel Game Maker's controller support is rather weak. Trying my best to figure it out, but, like all these issues, they seem to work on my machine but break things for other people.

So bear with me!

In the mean time, here are some charts that can help with input mapping.

Gentlemen, I have added a 'pause' screen that allows you to pause, exit the game, view controls, and change volume. Hope that helps for some people who took issue with that!

Including this, proper Thumbstick movement, and tons of bug fixes.

Yesterday, the update that went out included more bug fixes, and C++ Redist packages.

I'd like to thank Abstract the Origin and Baz on the PGMMV Discord for their help in fixing these issues.

I've also been told this about Controller support, hope it helps!

"A thing I'd suggest to try since Steam officially supports the DS4 controller, launch Big Picture mode and then go to controller configuration in the option menu. Plug your DS4 controller and configure it there. Then launch DDIV through big picture mode, set up the default button assignment and then it should be working without Xpadder or any of that other crap."

I've fixed the bulk of the issues that have come my way for the moment, so I will continue to fix stuff as it comes along.

-Id Mode Cape being leftover during certain cutscenes
-Transition Issues where you get stuck in Tiles
-Deus Vain Assets repeating on reentry to the boss room
-Improved Crouch Shooting Mechanics

I've gone through and fixed some of the most pressing issues, like soft locks, odd side quest related bugs, strange transition happenings. etc. etc.

I believe your save data SHOULD be unaffected by this update, but back it up just in case.

Here is a brief list of stuff I fixed up:
-Milly related issues
-Warmother Softlock
-Boss Fight Scene assets restarting on re-entry
-Pressing Start resetting the game for some players
-General bug fixes (I forgor) (It's been a busy day)

Here is a list of things I will be tackling in the future:
-Microsoft C++ Redist. Package Errors
-Controller issues for Dual Shock Controllers and Wireless Xbox One controllers
-Implement a proper pause menu (With a built in options menu instead of the F1 System)
-Other minor Bugs

And of course, any other major bugs that are reported are priority number one.

Pixel Game Maker is a fantastic engine but it can be a little unwieldy sometimes, so please bear with me while I get this to be the best it can be.

Other than these fixings, If the game does well/ (and honestly if I feel like it haha) I would like to improve a couple encounters. Mainly Deus Vain and the Warmother miniboss. Until then- Stability is my number one priority!
