This game is 99% autoattacking interspersed with the occasional skill on a long cooldown. The maps are empty of virtually anything except monsters. There is nothing to interact with besides the occasional chest that can't be opened because they all requires super rare keys. The amount of grinding required in this game is reminiscent of MMOs despite it being a single player/4 player game. The game is very poorly balanced, I literally had to grind dungeon mobs over and over for 10 levels in order to beat the overtuned dungeon boss.

Sorry... cannot recommend. Definitely not geared towards single player. I would triple refund if I could. But since I hit 3 hours I figured I would give it a bigger chance.

Combat is ok even with the limited skills to choose from. Other than that...

I know its EA but all the shops carry the exact same things. leveling up your crafting skills is painful. Chests are boring, you might hand a small handful of gold (5-30gp) is about 40% of the ones you open. No breakables or searchable. Quests are very repetitive.

Harvesting - you pick a level 1 flower and your skill goes up by 0.10 to 0.20 per harvest. After 50-60 harvests you might have a high enough percentage to sometimes get a level 2 flower. It doesn't get much better than that.

Crafting recipes were only found in 1 quest line given by the elf town. Only drop was the small healing potion.

Quests - kill a few mobs, report, kill a few more, report, talk to someone and get another quest, kill a few mobs, return to fist quest giver, kill a named requiring a party. Yes there are some different ones like buying a pick axe and mining, but few and far between.

Speaking of single player... nothing scales, there are mobs with over 200K hit points. Sure, nothing I like more than standing in 1 spot fighting the same mob for an hour, and that is if you can stand up to it. Most kill you with 1-2 hits. SOme will show up in your beastiary showing you how many items they can drop but it is random. Fought one that drops 4 different items 7 times. Mostly got the same 2 items, 1 time i did get a 3rd. Again, lets keep battling the same mob over and over and over if you want to get all possible items,

Getting a house if mind numbing. Not only do you need to collect 24K+ gold but you also have to grind a lot to get enough faction points to buy the house. Then you need more gold to buy your furnishings. 18 hours of grinding i was able to buy a horse around 8k but only have a couple grand after that. No house in sight.

This game has got a potential, but at the current stage, I would not tag it as single player. Rather some sort of a cross-mmo. You can get to level 30 quite fast but than the pain comes. Even with a merc you won't be able to beat most of the dungeons needed for the quests and better equipment. You die a lot, you loose a lot of exp. and money and leveling up is sort of difficult. I would appreciate a better scaling for a single play.

The inventory management is not very user friendly at the moment, not to mention there is so little space in the bank and getting house where you can supposedly store more items is so expensive, I haven't even managed to do so. Plenty of crafting material drops from the mobs, however you cannot craft anything unless you find a "text note" on which items to combine (and I could not find many) so just go ahead and sell it all. Good equipment is hard to get, probably limited to dungeons only. Even after level 30, I had to stick with some equipment I received from the first quests as there was no better around.

The play style gets a bit boring after a while. Moving around does not really make any sense so you just stay at place and use your skills on cooldown. Some mobs are single shot even if higher level than you, some lower levels on the other hand are significantly tougher and can easily kill you if they are in groups.

All in all, If you want to spend a weekend with friends to play this, you will probably have some fun, if you are looking for a single player game, look somewhere else. Therefore I do not recommend this game since it was tagged as a single player when I was buying it.
