Haven't played this in ten years and have forgotten almost everything :) What I HAVE remembered is that leveling took some careful management. But I can't remember what that was, beyond setting my character to run into the wall and coming back half an hour later for Athletics, I assume. Returning to the game after getting on for 20 years, there's a lot that has changed. Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine was out but I don't recall Frostcrag or horse armour or the player homes etc. Also, I've forgotten soooo much! So, first one: Why am I getting a message on-screen telling me that Pelinal Whitestrake is unconscious whenever I leave the Imperial City? I'm guessing it is to do with Kot9 but no idea what....

Imagine having to walk up some of these hillsides or mountains. How crazy would that be?

Will this game crash on PC just playing Vanilla? Or do you need to download like a unofficial bug/crash fix mod?

I've been playing this game since it first came out 18 years ago. It's still one of my all-time favorite games. The voice acting sucks. The graphics are dated and not up to today's standards. The combat is clunky and sometimes infuriating. But the ambience, the music, and the overall "feel" of the place is so deeply satisfying, like coming home after a tough day at work and relaxing in my favorite chair.
